She sat on the couch and pet Murphy |

Murphy lay his head on her knee, looking up at her. |

"Such a sweet boy, huh?" she cooed |

He wagged his tail, climbing up beside her. |

"Careful you don't squish me, fatty" She teased. "Hey, babe, can you come here?" |

Caden heard her request and grinned, collecting it back to a straight expression as he walked to her. |

"I'm sorry for my outburst. I didn't mean to freak out and yell and I also wanted to thank you for not yelling back. I'm really sorry" |

"It's fine, I mean, if I signed a contract not knowing I was helping with a murder i'd react the exact same." He mused with a chuckle, trying to keep things positive as he sat beside her. |
