Caden glanced over at how Murphy never greeted the man, looking back to where the man was and seeing he was gone. Vanished, just like that. "What in the?" |

Emily walked back in, seeing Caden. "Why you dressed up?" She snapped |

Caden glanced down at the suit he was wearing, realizing he was still holding the knife shakily, his hand tight around the blade, a thin red line trickling down his hand. "I-shit--I have a meeting---shit," He stammered, dropping the blade with more force than necessary as he turned the water at the sink on, running it over the cut until it stopped bleeding. The man pulled her to him and pecked her head, something he always did before heading out. "I'll be back. . . I don't know when i'll be back." He explained, shutting the door behind him as he walked to the garage, getting in one of the cars and shutting the door, staring into nothing for a moment as his breath came short, the man turning on the ignition before peeling out down the driveway. |

-love you- He sent, driving to his buisness in silence, walking in and getting into the elevator, making his way to his office before shutting the door behind him, sitting and running a hand through his hair, utterly overwhelmed with everything. |

Caden tossed his jacket off and onto a chair, loosening his tie before unbutoning the top button on his dress shirt, feeling like he was able to breathe normally again without it done up. He sat at his desk and pulled out his bottle of whiskey, taking a sip straight from the bottle as he started writing a note to Emily, remembering she had keys to his office and regretting the decision, deciding to write it incase she came up to check on him---though he doubted it, she was busy, and that was okay. Em, I'm probably blithering drunk if you're reading this, probably shouldn't be because when I wake up you'll probably beat my ass for it, but hey, I haven't been craving the stuff for a while which means you chewing me out for it is working, keep up the good work (if I was able to laugh through paper I would). I don't really have a meeting, sorry for lying about that but I don't really know what happened earlier, one second I tell Murphy to greet the guy who I had a meeting with and he just walks away, then I go to hand him a drink and my hand goes right through him, weird, right? And the knife, saints above the damned knife, something must've triggered something in my head, thought I was back....that's not important right now, thought I was back somewhere something really bad happened, needed something to defend myself or something? I don't know, didn't realize I was bleeding until you walked inside (Thanks again for that). Drove here and started drinking so I actually could, sorry about that, i'll try and talk to you next time, been working on that for a The writing cut off into nothing as Caden's vision darkened, his head slumping forward onto his arm on his desk, blacking out whilst mid writing. The sun started to set, casting golden hour lighting through the man's office windows and onto his frame. |
