(screw it i ain't written like this in a hot minute, might as well lol)
I sighed softly as I reached my hand out and cupped Emily's cheek softly, brushing my thumb across her cheekbone as I always have, holding her gaze for a moment as my expression remained warm, just like the rays of sunlight starting to beam through the blinds.
"Emily, whatever you say, i'll always agree with. It's perfectly fine you don't want to, I promise."
-Damn, that line is starting to get familiar.-
I think, a thought suddenly coming to mind as I grin, getting up and out of bed, pulling on a pair of sweats as I glance back at Em, noting the idea to be somewhat nice.
"I'll be right back, don't get up."
With that I walk out of the room, darting downstairs as I dash into the kitchen, grabbing a bowl and starting to add ingredients until i've created a perfect pancake batter---one I still remember by heart after my mother drilled it into me all those two years ago.

I blink as I realize how quick the time has gone, yet the ache still settles at the reminder that i've completely forgotten what her voice sounded like, one of the only things I lived by in my teens--
--speaking of time,
The now oiled pan pops as I zone back in, quickly dumping the batter in before plating the cakey layers of deliciousness. I grab the butter and cut a small, square piece and place it in the center of the stack of the three pancakes, grabbing the syrup and a fork as I grab Emily's favorite toppings, slipping them into small containers before slipping them onto a plate---brewing her a quick coffee she'd explained the first time I made it how it was her favorite, that fact always living in the back of my mind since then. As I take the plate in a hand, and her coffee in the other, I start my way upstairs, almost tripping as I quickly steadied myself, slipping into my---well, more so our bedroom with a grin, extending the plate and freshly brewed drink towards her, my eyes gleaming somewhat.
"Room service at your service,"
I mused, trying to come up with something better to say.
"I mean uh, um....you know what, forget it."
I chuckle lightly, hoping she's somewhat impressed I didn't burn the house down(at least, not this time ;)
