Gale quietly walked to the balcony, leaning on the doorframe as his armor clinked softly. "I should uh, probably tell you what all last night was about." He murmured, flicking his gaze away as the scrape of the dagger against the very stone beneath him echoed in his mind. "Just. . . promise me you won't hate me, okay?" The man asked, eyes begging as his voice only pleaded. "I. . . I--I don't even know how to word it right but, I was still awake and got lost in my thoughts, started. . . remembering things I didn't want to, a lot of trauma came up while I tried to sleep last night. And I remember I just got so, so angry at you, for deciding to go and take your kingdom back without realizing that I wasn't really giving you a choice when we were surviving out there. I grabbed my dagger and. . . and for a second I . . . " His breaths came heavy now, the words not wanting to form on his tounge. "I thought about killing you, of ridding of you and getting everything i've dreamed of from it, the fortunes, the fame, the power.... I came to my senses and threw the blade off the balcony, then locked myself in the bathroom and broke down about it because I didn't want you to see me like that. I didn't want you to see me weak, broken, pathetic." He noted, eyes glassy as he forced the words out, vulnerable in a way he hadn't been in years. |

She watched him with a blank expression, her own eyes brimming with tears. "I don't hate you, Gale. I love you. It just...hurt the way you snapped at me. I didn't wanna upset you by being near you and reminding you of how annoying I had been last night..." She said. "I get why you had those thoughts, I guess, but I can't be upset at you. I don't have the right to do that." |

He rubbed the back of his neck, an old habit he still had never gotten rid of. "Yeah um, I don't really know why I pushed you away. . . i'm not really used to people trying to help." He explained. |

She stood up, kissed his cheek. "I'm here for you, try to not push me away" |

Gale wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. "I don't think I want to," |

"And if you're asking for forgivness, it's yours. I love you" |

"I love you too," He murmured, unbuckling one of breastplate straps as it was digging into his side. |

"Let's get dressed for bed" She suggested softly |

He nodded in agreement, pulling away as he started pulling his armor off. |
