Caden slipped into sleep, the jet lag catching up. |

Emily didn't sleep, getting up in the middle of the night and continuing to work on the cars. She had found an older, lower on the high-class range car toward the corner of the garage and she had taken to upgrading it to the highest degree. |

Caden slept exceptionally well, waking early as a client was due at 8. |

Emily was still crouched beside car, undoing the lugnuts and setting aside the wheel and tire so she could tune the brakes. She was wearing one of Caden's t-shirts and her black sweatpants |

The two chatted for hours, a deal eventually being made right as another client walked in. |

Emily heard voices but just continued working for another hour. She walked toward the kitchen for something to eat, saw Caden's office door open, and turned and walked straight back into the garage. She was honestly scared of him if he got upset and especially if she was seen around his clients. She'd always been told to not be seen or heard while clients were around her ex--even if they were at dinner or something |
