"No it's fine, i'm just tired is all." He covered, her words making it somewhat worse. |

She nodded, turned and went to sit on the bed |

Caden remain there for a moment longer, standing and walking downstairs. |

She watched him, giving him space even though she yearned his touch |

He went and poured a glass of whiskey, hand shaking as he tipped the glass to his lips and took a sip, the liquid burning down his throat before settling warm in his chest. |

She sat on the bed, thinking over what she could have done to help him. She was cold, taking one of Caden's sweatshirts |
