I was HORRIFIED of shots when I was a kid. Like, crying, shaking, stressed, pacing, and overall a wreck. Never once did they ever mention doing that to me. Orally or otherwise

I doubt they would even prescribe something to take orally.
Snitches' Stitches

Star
That's really a doctor question, but probably not unless it's for life saving measures. Might just give the kid a chill pill like trazadone or something before the appointment
Hummingbird Meadows
10:19:48 Bird
@Star, I don't think they would ever do that. Sedation is typically given with an IV anyways.

If you're not planning on breeding him, then gelding would be best for his training

Hey guys I have a question; Is it legal for a doctor to sedate a child under 18 with parental consent so that the child can take a shot?

So my question is if I don’t plan on using him for breeding because of the P should I just geld him?
Hummingbird Meadows
10:09:48 Bird
He's getting more confident out there though. He gets excited about chasing the bugs.

@Artic, the sun set so it was cool enough for us to go out for 30 minutes. It was getting dark so I picked him up and brought him inside.

RF was mean to you, but take a look at the sire's side. It isn't all WWW's like the dam's side is. The sire seems to have more EEE horses on his side, and the first Elite horse I see in the dam's side is 4 generations back. I know usually things like this might not matter due to the RF bs, but it's something to think about.

If you didnt notice.. the Darkling was a longgg time 1 ABLB boy in the time of EEEs. Explains why he doesnt have many Ws ;)
He is still insanely strong.
So the pedigree issue? Doesnt matter really whatsoever. Wish it made a difference. Then we would all have crazy good ROs.

I did notice that, and he was strong as a sire. However I've noticed if its been awhile for a horse as in The Darkling RF will give you a decent horse, but not what you are expecting from a breeding. RF tends to throw back to pre WWW ratings a lot with the older horses who have since passed on. I had a strong EEE stud once passed a long time ago 7 or 8 real life years ago, but I had a few straws from him, used them with some of my strongest mares and got mostly SSP horses.
