He got to go out for his first full day of turnout! (The past 2-3 days i've had to go let him out myself so he can get used to his turnout pasture/so I could monitor him and make sure the barn owner and I felt safe leaving him in the pasture by himself. He got to go out for about 4 1/2 hours the past few days, and today will be a few hours longer.) He hasn't met any horses nose to nose quite yet, but he's able to see the others pastures without being able to touch the other horses (until we feel he's ready) . He was turned out by himself his whole life (1 horse with him max), so we're trying to introduce him to the big "herd" slowly! Depending on how today goes, he may be put out with another horse tomorrow! |
