@someday, I live at home with my mom and are renters, but I think we deserve our deposit back when we move out. The previous renters didn't clean the carpets even though they were supposed to, left a bunch of junk in the garage, and we're three weeks late moving out.

oh I know nowadays the cost is horrible! We were just two gals trying to make bills

I think the rental company is just trying to keep my entire deposit and padding the bill. I called the same company that did the cleaning and was quoted $50/hour for a move out deep clean of the same size house.

@PK, i've no doubt it is very hard work. I can understand the reason for having two people there as it helps keep the workers accountable. I am just surprised it cost that much.

@Someday, that is crazy! I too have had the thought that I am in the wrong line of work if they can charge that much.

Bird, we were just charged $1,300 for a move out deep clean by the rental company we were leasing from. I have disputed it, because holy cow! I am in the wrong line of work if that is the price for cleaning a 3 bedroom house for 3 hours. I happen to know it took them 3 hours because I bought the house across the street and was home when they were there. I dont think the rental company realizes I could see the whole thing.

I can clean my house by myself in 2 1/2 hours, but these companies are saying it takes two people the same amount time.

Hello I have a question, my niece is 11 years old about to be 12 and wants an Australian shepherd so bad and her mom doesn't really take care of her so I have to but would it be a good idea to get an Australian shepherd for a 12ish year old girl?

Depends on how responsible she is. Is she ready to feed and walk the dog everyday and train them? And who will take care of the dog when shes at school (unless shes homeschooled)
Does her mom have the money to buy the food and pay for vaccines and vet care for the dog?
Theres a lot that goes into getting a dog :)
But if the kid is ready to walk and train and spend time with the dog everyday, and the mom has the money to support it, then yeah I think it would be good.

She is quite responsible especially when she takes care of her horses and they have quite a big yard so a dog would probably be nice

As long as mom is ok with it and she like to run go for it. I would encourage her to do agility with the aussie :-)
