Down-side to free breeding, the horses aren't 'matched', so the resulting foal probably won't have very good ratings.

so any mares and stallions that are of breeding age have the ability to breed together, and random babies can just be born (with the exception of mares that have already been bred that game year)

just remember that if you put mares and stallions in the same pasture, they can free breed, which can be a bit of an inconvenience xD

I've been looking into tablets because I decided I wanted to get myself one for Christmas :D I'm not sure exactly what tablet to get though. I like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CTL490DB-Digital-Drawing-Graphics/dp/B010LHRFWW/ref=sr_1_12?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1513088570&sr=1-12&keywords=wacom+tablet

Thoughts?

I have exactly the same thing except mine has touch, which isn't a big deal. I LOVE it! I would go for it. It has made such I big difference for me. If you are using a mouse it will take a little bit to get used to, and then you won't ever want to go back.

I found one that has touch:

This one also comes with Corel Painter Essentials.

The Slate is also a great option. you attach a little sensor to your pencil or whatever you are drawing with and it draws exactly what you draw on the pad with the pencil. The Slate is 170$ though.

I have a Wacom Bamboo Capture Pen and Touch Tablet. I wish you could buy one for a reasonable price still because I would thoroughly recommend it. But it is from 2013 and they are now selling on amazon for $250 :/
With that being said, I’ve loved my Wacom tablet so I’m sure the one you are looking at would be just as great. I say go for it!

Im not sure the difference, but you might want to look in to this one as well:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010LHRFYU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_jv.lAb71CQSCS

Edit: it looks like the difference is the software it comes with. So unless you already have software you like for Manips, you might want the one I posted instead. :)

A friend of mine is using Wacom Intruos art, it came with a drawing program too. She is really happy with her tablet :)

If you cant afford Wacom thats fine! Huion-tablets are a great brand too, and slightly cheaper than Wacoms. Have a lot of friends that own a Huion tablet and none of them had anything bad to say about them.

Remember tablets come in different sizes too! I recommend grabbing a medium tablet. I started with small tablet myself, and realized pretty fast it could get slightly annoying to work on that small area especially when you draw a lot. But that is up to you :)

I have Intuos pro pen and touch.

For me, the touch is overrated. I never use it so it's always turned off. Freaks me out when it's on and all of a sudden my screen rotates. I prefer my little wheel.

Medium is a good size. My 1st tablet (Intuos 4) actually still works. Got it for Christmas probably 7-8 years ago. It was just too big since it was a large lol.

Is there much of a difference between Wacom and Huion besides the price? I may look into a Huion instead.

I personally use Wacom Intuos Pro Medium. It comes with a manga/anime art program which, though I don't use it, has very good reviews. I use Photoshop CC or Paint Tool Sai for artwork.

Wacom tablets tend to last longer than Huion. I've heard a lot of artists say they experience issues with the plugs on Huions after some time. Apparently they have a tendency to get loose.
