Down-side to free breeding, the horses aren't 'matched', so the resulting foal probably won't have very good ratings.

so any mares and stallions that are of breeding age have the ability to breed together, and random babies can just be born (with the exception of mares that have already been bred that game year)

just remember that if you put mares and stallions in the same pasture, they can free breed, which can be a bit of an inconvenience xD

I need opinions on a new riding helmet that won't break the bank. (Under 150$ CAD or 112.55 USD) I'm currently looking at two Ovation helmets and one Tipperary helmet. I'm willing to stretch my budget if someone has a more expensive helmet that they really like. Any opinions and suggestions are appreciated.

My current helmet is a Troxel and I can't stand it. It's extremely heavy and it has little to no ventilation.

I'm no expert but I really like the helmet brand IRH or International Riding Helmets. They are a bit on the pricey side but they are really reliable and comfortable. I think they are worth their price. I have one currently and I absolutely love it! Hope this helps!

The helmet i use and really recommend is a John Whitaker Victory Helmet, I literally popped into my local tack store, tried it on and bought it for around $120 CAD, and its really worth it, it's so light sometimes you forget you are wearing it XD (though some people don't like super lightweight). The thing is, where I live they renew the standard VG1 (which I don't see needs to be updated), the standard requirements a helmet must have for you to compete in, like every year and it no longer meets the requirements, so you can't compete in it where i live. I don't compete so this doesn't affect me, but if you do compete I believe there are other helmets in the John Whitaker range that are compatible ;). Another reason why i love this helmet is the facts that it has an adjustable dial at the back so that if your head grows, or you just have a very small head, like me, that is too small for most helmets you can always adjust it :).
I hope this helps!

The newer Troxel helmets are a TON lighter than the old ones that look like bubbles on people's heads..XD They also have either a dial at the back or a super-soft, comfortable upside down T- shaped adjustable harness at the back. Some Tractor Supply stores carry them, and they're not super expensive. Hope that helps.

I really like the first one, the Ovation Schooler Helmet. It fits all the safety standards. I also like it because I also have one of those😊

I use Ariat. They last me a while, and are very comfy as well.

I use the Ovation Protégé Helmet. It works great and is a very comfy and suitable fit. Good luck. :)

I currently have a troxel from years ago and it's so bulky, I'm also in the market for a new helmet. The ovation schooler helmet looks nice, and it doesn't break the bank either. I've heard Charles Owen helmets are also nice, but they are more expensive.

I think I'm going to get two of the Ovation schooler helmets, a fun one for practice and a black one for shows/important stuff.

Thanks for all of the input :D
