I think it is a good thing so you have a bit more challenge if you wish to breed a certain breed. As some colors will kick them out of the studbook. But on the other hand, it creates also so much SH and ISH that people loose interest to be selective and critical and just breed to achieve a high rating. If you feel like there arent much Apendix horses around, it might be a fun thing to try change that. I try to keep it to breed horses from a certain studbook, but sometimes a foal gets a color that is not recognised. Happens a lot with the Knappstrupers for example.
