Both of my Wacom tablet plugs are loose. Wear and tear.. mostly from tripping over the cords XD

If you do buy a tablet, make sure it's wireless or is capable of being wireless. You'll only need to plug in it for charging.

Edit:
I also have the classic pen, not the one mine came with. The classic feels more like a pen/pencil than a marker.

A friend of mine is using Wacom Intruos art, it came with a drawing program too. She is really happy with her tablet :)

If you cant afford Wacom thats fine! Huion-tablets are a great brand too, and slightly cheaper than Wacoms. Have a lot of friends that own a Huion tablet and none of them had anything bad to say about them.

Remember tablets come in different sizes too! I recommend grabbing a medium tablet. I started with small tablet myself, and realized pretty fast it could get slightly annoying to work on that small area especially when you draw a lot. But that is up to you :)

I bought my first Wacom intuos draw back in early 2015 for 70 bucks on Black Friday brand new.. and it started turning into a piece of garbage by the end of the year. It still worked, but it made my computer what out sometimes saying that it couldnÂ’t find the file, pop ups like crazy and I have an antivirus. It worked but I had to replace the PEN, not the tip several times. I got my huion tablet about July and LOVE it. I like the bigger space it allows for drawing and the sensitivity works so much better. I got this one off amazon and it came with SEVERAL tips for the pen a case for the tips, a case for the tablet, and several other things I have but havenÂ’t used yet for 70 bucks with shipping and handling. DonÂ’t remember the exact model I have but IÂ’ll try to find the link later for you. The pen has a battery and needs to be charged but IÂ’ve NEVER had it die on me. When IÂ’m done with my computer for he day I just plug it back in and itÂ’ll go ALL day for me the next time. Wacom 0 - huion 10

The differences depends on the model you are comparing. Sometimes its just the lack of touch screen that is different, sometimes it can be lower level of pen pressure sensitivity that will be different; my tip is to find a Wacom tablet you like, look at the specs, and then find a Huiion that comes as close as possible to those specs. If the difference is in pen pressure (lets say Wacom tablet you look at has 2048 and a Huiion 2000 or slightly above 1950+), you can still go with the Huiion, because the difference is so small you wont notice it!

Another tip is to look at Youtube videos, a lot of artists compare tablets or do simple reviews of them, while they show how both tablet work.

Find some models you like, and after that,do research. Find some people who use them, reach reviews, watch some videos, google it; the more info you get,the easier it will be for you to decide with one to choose.

When it comes to Wacom, they really last long, long time. I have my 10+ year old Wacom Bamboo tablet hiding in a corner,It is STILL working. XD

TOo bad you had bad experience with Wacom, but remember this is technology we are talking about. Sometimes they come defect,as sad as it is, and you were unfortunate to get one of those. When that happens the best way is to send it bad asap, and send a complaint to those who sold the product. Maybe someone dropped it when they packed it,or it got thrown around during transport and that's why it got damaged before you started using it. i was lucky enough to have no issues with my old Bamboo tablet, or my current Cintiq 13HD I bough and got delivered by post.

Glad you found a tablet you like. They are your best friend when you are a artist :)
