So I hadn't gone into my one email on yahoob for awhile? I thought it wasn't over a year. This week lensdump decided I was an imposter and asked for my email. So, since that email is the one I use when I don't want bothered to sign up for stuff, I put it in.

Oh my! they sent a reactivate to that email. Imagine My surprise when one...I couldn't sign in, and two I had to jump through hoops to get in (and choose a new password).

NOW Imagine the horror when the notification on that email said "we have deleted all your emails due to inactivity"

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?

That email was 20+ years old!!! I had saved messages AND PHOTOS from my RIP parents, my RIP best friend, and others I can no longer access. Not even sure what important photos or info was lost.

Needless to say, I am devastated.

I didn't know email accounts even did that! I'm so sorry PK that sounds awful:(

Only some. I've had several gmail accounts sitting for 5+ years and they haven't cleared or anything, so it's safe to say gmail doesn't do this at least.
