Zomb & Trish have nailed it for me, I like things as they are I signed up for the challenge of KNN's as they cannot be crossed. The KNN breeders are an amazing community and work so well together and its beginging to show on the LB. My biggest fears if this goes ahead is the value of the KNN's and loosing our little community. Morning Glory Farms said: I only started breeding KNN because of the challenge they were i like being having to think carefully about matches and if we impliment especially TB with is already a crazy strong breed in and of itsself i feel like it will tank the halfway decent KNN we have now, weve just gotten KNN on the ABLB and highish at that with Basq sitting around 5-14 ablb depending on the month and if we let other breeds be used i feel like the top boys and girls for the KNN just wont have appeal anymore :(

I've been breeding KNN for 1+ RL years, definitely a hard no for me. I love the challenge of KNN as it is. |

I agree with this, I feel like TBs are so strong that they would completely flip the breed on its head and cut out players who have put years of work into them by making their stock weak in comparison to the new TB crossed ones. I definitely feel that WBs are a safer bet for improving the breed without ruining the KNN experience and keeping a bit of challenge in it |

I vote no.
Players have worked hard for real life YEARS to get KNN to where they are now, and I feel like being able to cross breed is kind of.. discrediting? |

I've been breeding KNNs since year 10, and I enjoy the challenge. Bringing in cross-breeding, would bring in alot of unwanted things. Please, please, keep KNNs as purebreds. HEE has enough cross-breds already. |

Okay, respectfully and honestly, if you don't want to crossbreed to better the breed and challenge yourself, then you can do that. No one is stopping you from KNN X KNN only crosses. No, I don't think this is going to lower the value of any KNN when cross breeding is only going to make the overall breed stronger. . BUT, as KNN breeders, I really find it interesting that everyone seems so against trying to be able to cross KNN with other breeds to make the overall breed better. Sure, you absolutely can cross KNN X KNN and get the #1 ABLB horse (potentially and theoretically) but it's going to be a whole heck of a lot easier, smarter, cheaper to do that if you could crossbreed. And as Eve said, it really won't be THAT much more easier (at least starting out) becuase you'll still have to adhere to the color genetic rules). . I mean, as it stands now, there are still some training traits Mv, Hrt, Spd, etc that are specifically tailored to each breed to be stronger in those traits. I always forget which ones go with which breed tho. Anyways, being able to cross these strong traits up is what makes the overall horse better. It's probably one of the driving factors to why SH has dominated the ABLBs for so long (of course, there are still many many many more reasons but whatever). . I'm just saying, yall be hating on changing things up just becuase it decreases the difficulty of the breed but I think you guys should actually be the ones wanting it and appreciating the change if you want to be competitive on the LBs for longer. Whatever, just my 2 cents. . Ps. I absolutely do NOT think this discredit ANY KNN breeder! They got this far without extra breeds, but guess how much better they could make the KNNs!? |

Another thought... If improving the KNN breed is the goal, why not just program the game to create better rated KNN captures at the next Capture day ?? Increasing the possibilities of Snowcaps & Fewspots would sure be a plus as well. |

I am mostly for this update. I definitely enjoy the challenge of KNN breeding as it is, but also it would be nice to have a much larger gene pool, especially when it comes to stallions, since even though KNN do have some new stronger boys, they can only breed so many mares. I am a bit worried about the KNN brood market like other players in this thread, so I'm thinking maybe this update would work best if only crossing to outside studs was implemented. |

This. If you want to breed a specific way, then do it... If not, then don't. No need to restrict the breed for everybody because you prefer difficulty. Challenge yourself, it doesn't need to be site-wide. KNNs are in desperate need of assistance ESPECIALLY in certain aspects like Scope. Plus, it'll bring back the need for more plain looking horses.
. I think leave out TBs from crosses, as they're expensive and valuable enough with all they can do. But WBs and AAs? There's no reason not to. None. |
