Mari pouted in thought after a moment, then gave a short nod. "You'll be there," she promised gently, offering him a slight smile. "And I'm sure she'll forgive you if you give her pleanty of cuddles," she added with a chuckle. They'd all be good. Sage may be more settled at home. She nodded when he said the doctor would give her his meds... he'd better. At least, if she needed to put Sage to sleep or make him hurt less, she could. "Make sure you do ask," she murmured, pouting at him slightly, almost as a bit of a warning. She wandered back behind him just a little bit, her hand held out slightly so that if he fell she could catch him, but he was soon settled down in bed. "Yeah, of course," she chirped happily, taking the paper from him and wandering out towards Anya's office.

Sage sort of humemd in agreement as she mentioned giving her plenty of cuddles. "I'll have to do that anyway," he noted with a soft laugh, shaking his head slightly as he thought of the animal. He wrinkled his nose slightly at Maris small warning, and waved it off. "I know, I know," he sort of huffed, though not with any malice to his tone. "I'll ask next time he comes in to check up on me," he promised, sort of just settling down with a sigh to finish the sketch as Mari wandered off, just glad to be getting home soon, he supposed.

Mari found her way upstairs after a few minutes, eventually just moving to hand Anya the paper... she got dissmissed fairly quickly, although the woman did seem rather caught up in something. She supposed it was all quite stressful for her, knowing exactly what kind of condition her kingdom was in... especially because someone she cared about had been affected by it. She soon found her way back down to the ward, though, as tired as ever but popping on a little smile for Sage when she walked through the door.

Sage had glanced up when Mari came back in, sort of humming a quiet greeting and then focusing back in on the drawing. He was nearly finished by then, and only needed to add a few more details that would bring out the individual characteristics of the man. Hopefully, they'd find these people and justice would be done. If there were people still captured, they could be dying alone, and evidently many of them would have families they needed to care for. It was an issue....he was just glad Anya had decided to tackle it.

Mari settled down in the chair next to him quietly, sort of resting her head on the bed as she watched him work. Slowly but surely enough, it almost came to life... and as much as she wanted to tell him how good it looked, she couldn't. This wasn't a good drawing of a good person - it was a good drawing of a criminal, and it left her stomach churning. She looked up at him after a little while, and gently pulled the paper from him. It was good enough, and it didn't need to look amazing to tell who the person was. She leaned up to peck a light kiss to Sages cheek when she'd settled back down, letting out a soft breath.

Sage felt his brows furrowing slightly as he worked on the drawing, mostly in concentration. As it came to life though, the memories sort of started swirling around, so he was rather glad when Mari took it from him. It wasn't perfect, but it was pretty close, and at this point he just wanted to forget about the whole thing. He grunted in response to her kiss, sort of just letting out a breath and relaxing against the pillows on the headboard and just watching her settle down again.

Mari offered a small smile after a few moments when he grunted, and jusr sort of rested her head on her hands and closed her eyes as she waited for... something. She just wanted to sleep. "You need anything?" She asked softly. He needed to get some rest too, if he was gonna head back home tomorrow. She didn't know how he'd react. "I was gonna set you up in the living room but... babe, do you think you'll be okay downstairs? I don't want you freaking out or anything."
