Name: Kain (Pronounced as 'cane') Age: 22 Gender: Male Race: Human (with mystical lineage) Occupation: Prince (Soon-to-Be King of the Night Kingdom) Era: Medieval Times Physical Description: Height: 6'5" (196 cm) Build: - Tall and lean, yet strong—his build reflects years of training and athleticism. His muscles are especially prominent around his shoulders and back, where his wings sprout. These muscles are more developed and reinforced to support the weight of his large wings, giving him a strong, imposing upper frame. Though he’s not as bulky as a knight, he moves with agility and grace.
- Skin Tone: Deep, sun-kissed tan from hours spent outdoors, whether in training or simply absorbing the fresh air of the kingdom.
- Hair: A sleek, dark undercut that’s been styled to perfection. The top is slightly tousled and falls just enough to create that effortlessly cool look, while the sides are shaved close. It’s the trend of the kingdom and speaks to both his nobility and youthful confidence.
- Eyes: Piercing, ice-blue eyes, always observant and thoughtful, with an intense gaze that seems to peer into the hearts of others.
- Wings: Large and majestic black wings that shimmer with a faint, ethereal glow under moonlight. His wings are a symbol of his royal bloodline, granting him the ability to fly short distances. His upper back and shoulder muscles are particularly developed, enabling him to support the weight and strength required to extend and fold his wings with precision. However, they are fragile—any injury to them, even a small tear or hole, can send him plummeting to the ground.
- Scars and Tattoos:
- Scars: Kain has a few scars on his lower half and many battle-worn scars scattered across his torso and arms, proof of his time spent training and protecting his kingdom. A particularly deep scar runs across his left side, just below his ribs—a remnant from a dangerous sparring match when he was younger. He also has a deep scar stretching across his lower left cheek and ending on the back of his head, recently carved into him by enemy weapons.
- Tattoos: Kain bears a few subtle tattoos, each marking important moments in his life or significant trials. His most prominent tattoo is on his upper arm—an intricate design of a crescent moon intertwined with dark feathers, symbolizing his bloodline’s connection to the night and his royal heritage. He also has a small, discreet tattoo on his wrist—his family’s seal, a constant reminder of the weight of his future responsibilities.
Personality: - Regal Yet Humble: Kain embodies the qualities of a king—calm, composed, and wise beyond his years—but his humility keeps him grounded. He’s deeply aware of the responsibility he will inherit and works to earn his people’s loyalty, not just demand it.
- Reserved and Thoughtful: Kain is not one to talk about himself. He often keeps his thoughts to himself, preferring to observe and listen rather than speak. This makes him seem mysterious to others.
- Protective of Those He Loves: He has a deep care for his people, family, and close friends. This is especially true when it comes to anyone who is loyal to him. While he’s more serious than playful, his love for those around him is unwavering.
- Self-Doubting: At times, Kain struggles with the pressure of being so young and inheriting a kingdom steeped in history and power. He often questions whether he is truly ready to rule.
- Cautious and Calculating: He is strategic, not rushing into situations, preferring to weigh his options and plan carefully. However, his caution can sometimes lead to inaction or hesitation.
Backstory: Kain was born into the royal bloodline of the Night Kingdom, where kings and queens are believed to have a divine connection to the shadows and the night itself. At just 22, he is on the cusp of being crowned the next ruler, though his journey to the throne is not without challenges. His father, the current king, is growing older and weaker, and Kain has already begun stepping into his father’s shoes. But while his royal heritage gives him power over shadows and the night, his youth and inexperience make him a target for rivals who believe he is not ready to lead. His wings, a symbol of his royal lineage, are both a blessing and a curse, and the slightest injury to them could be catastrophic. Now, with dark forces stirring on the horizon, Kain must navigate political intrigue, personal doubts, and the weight of responsibility to protect his kingdom and prove that he is capable of ruling. Powers and Abilities: - Wings of the Night: Kain’s wings are beautiful and functional, allowing him to fly short distances. His shoulder and upper back muscles are especially strong, enabling him to support and move his wings with precision. However, his wings are still vulnerable—if they are pierced, torn, or even nicked in battle, they will send him crashing to the ground, unable to continue his flight. His control over shadows is also a bit weaker, and he cannot summon the darkness for long periods of time.
- Night Vision: Kain can see clearly in the dark, allowing him to move through the kingdom’s forests or castles during the night without issue. This gift is essential for him during the kingdom’s most dangerous hours, when threats are often most active.
- Shadow Manipulation (Limited): While he can summon shadows to hide himself or obscure his enemies’ vision, his control over them is less powerful than it could be. He can manipulate small amounts of darkness, but it doesn’t come easily, and it’s not as devastating in battle as it once could have been.
- Physical Strength and Agility: Kain’s training in combat and survival has made him strong and nimble, especially around his upper body. His shoulder and back muscles are well-defined and specifically strengthened to support his wings. His fighting style relies more on agility and finesse than brute strength. He is skilled with a sword and in hand-to-hand combat, though he generally prefers to avoid direct confrontations.
- Charismatic Leadership: Despite his youth, Kain has a magnetic presence. People are drawn to him naturally, and he can often persuade others to follow his lead without the need for intimidation or force.
Everyday Attire: Kain’s outfit reflects both his royal status and his need for practicality. It’s refined, comfortable, and allows him to move freely, suitable for his lifestyle as both prince and warrior-in-training. -
Tunic: A slightly loose-fitting, deep midnight blue tunic with subtle silver thread woven along the hems. The color represents both the night and his royal lineage. The tunic is crafted from high-quality linen, soft against the skin but durable enough for his active lifestyle. It has a simple V-neck with a few decorative buttons, adding a small touch of refinement without being over the top. -
Pants: Dark leather trousers, well-fitted but not too tight. They’re designed for practicality and comfort, perfect for riding, walking, or even a quick sparring session. The leather is soft yet durable, providing flexibility while also fitting seamlessly into Kain’s casual but noble aesthetic. -
Boots: Black leather boots that are polished but not excessively so. The boots are sturdy and worn in just enough to show they’ve been used for more than ceremonial purposes. They’re made for long hours spent on horseback or traveling, designed for practicality with a low heel and no unnecessary embellishments. -
Belt and Pouches: A simple, black leather belt that holds a few small pouches for practicality—whether it's carrying a map, small tools, or a token of importance. It’s minimal but functional, with no over-embellished designs. -
Accessories: A single silver ring worn on his right hand, a sign of his lineage but not an extravagant piece. A small, simple pendant with the sigil of the Night Kingdom hangs around his neck on a thin leather cord. It’s not a grand symbol but rather a quiet nod to his royal roots. Weaknesses: - Vulnerable Wings: Any injury to Kain’s wings, no matter how small, can ground him. A simple tear in the feathers can leave him incapacitated until healed. He has to be cautious when engaging in combat or risky activities that might put his wings in danger.
- Limited Shadow Power: Kain's control over shadows has weakened over time, and he can no longer manipulate them for long periods. His power isn’t as devastating or as vast as it could be, and it requires concentration to use effectively.
- Youth and Inexperience: Kain’s age sometimes works against him. Many in his kingdom doubt whether a 22-year-old can handle the weight of the throne. His lack of life experience can make him overly cautious at times, preventing him from making quick decisions in moments of crisis.
- Emotional Isolation: Kain’s reserved nature and tendency to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself can make it difficult for him to form close relationships, which can lead to feelings of loneliness or alienation from those closest to him.
Goals: - Prove Himself Worthy: Kain must prove not only to his people but also to himself that he is ready to take the throne and rule the Night Kingdom.
- Unite the Kingdom: There are factions within the kingdom who doubt his ability to lead. Kain’s first challenge is to unite his kingdom under his rule.
- Protect the Kingdom from Darkness: The ancient darkness that threatens his kingdom is Kain’s greatest concern. He must find a way to stop it before it consumes everything he holds dear.
Quotes: - “The weight of the crown is heavy, but I will carry it for my people. Even if the night tries to swallow me whole.”
- “I cannot control the shadows as I once did, but I will use every ounce of my strength to protect this kingdom.”
- “Age does not define a ruler. The heart does.”

Ceylse "Sey-lease" Age: 21 Gender: Female Race: Human Occupation: Princess of the Day Court Era: Medieval Times Physical Description Height: 5'2" (157 cm) Build: Short and curvy. Despite her womanly shape, Ceylse is slender in the shoulders and waist. She has wider hips and thicker thighs, giving her curves that help form a lovely shape. She always moves gracefully as if she floats on air, body swaying effortlessly with every move. Skin Tone: Warm-Fair. While she is not extremely tan, the princess does have a healthy golden glow to her flawless skin. A wash of freckles dot over her nose and cheeks in a sunkissed way. Hair: Wavy dirty blonde hair cascades down her back, stopping only once it reaches the ending curve of her bottom. It is silky and soft, worn longer than most women in her kingdom bother to wear it. It is nearly always left down and flowing. Eyes: Bright, golden colored eyes with the ability to draw even the darkest of souls in. They are warm and welcoming on nearly every occasion. Scars: One would not think a princess would bear scars, but this one does. A stray arrow from the sparring arena pierced the junction between her neck and shoulder one day, leaving a puncture wound clear as day in her warm skin. It was a mild injury, but it left a prominent scar. Tattoos: None Personality Calm: Ceylse is rarely rattled, at least outwardly. She never wants to make another worried, so she tries to maintain that air of serenity and peacefulness in hopes that her own actions may rub off on others. She prefers to be seen as strong willed, always holding in her own fears until she can release them when she is alone. Emotional: Ceylse feels deeply, no matter the emotion. To say that she wears her heart on her sleeve wouldn't be entirely correct, but it is close to it. She isn't scared to feel, no matter what the consequences may bare. Her raw emotion shows how deep that she is, her personality rarely seeming "shallow" or "boring". Some may say that she is overly sensitive, but the way she views it is being honest with herself and others. Caring: Ceylse cares for the wellbeing of others greater than she does herself. She takes pride in assuring that those around her have every last one of their needs met. She is a kind and gentle soul who is willing to do whatever it takes to make one feel at home around her. Patient: Slow to anger or become stressed. You can often wrong her time and time again without her patience ever waning. She'll work with you on anything you need, no matter how long it takes. To her, there is no sense in getting worked up over the little things in life the first time that it happens. Selfless: Ceylse would much rather do for others than for herself. If someone is in need of something she has in her possession, she is immediately willing to hand it over so that they may better themselves. She does not wish for praise or to be thanked, she simply wants to make the world a better place for others and in turn for herself. Ceylse is giving and a lover of all beings, only wishing to see the good in life. Empathetic: Ceylse does not only become emotional for herself, but for others also. She tries to be sensitive, to be thoughtful of what she says as to not hurt another's pride or feelings. She picks up on others emotions well, but with that comes the overwhelming sense of not knowing what to do to fix it. Backstory Ceylse was born to the King and Queen of the Day Kingdom. She is the youngest of two children, with her older brother currently named heir to the throne. Ceylse spends her days as an advisor of the sorts in political affairs. She has a knack for talking to people and making a way for decisions others thought impossible. Truthfully, she would make a great ruler, but Ceylse has no desire to sit on the throne of the Day Kingdom. She loves her people and her family, but the weight of the crown already sits heavy enough. Strengths and Weaknesses +Climbing: Ceylse is gifted in scurrying up even the tallest of trees or walls so long there's an inch enough of a foot hold. She enjoys spending her time perched in trees with a book. +Sneaking/Hiding: Despite the way she attracts the warmth of day, Ceylse does well hiding in the shadows. Her soft footsteps and small form make it easier for her to slip by undetected. -Physical Strength: Ceylse is not a muscular woman in any sense. Her lack of muscle and body mass makes it very easy to overpower her in a physical altercation. -Swimming: Alongside her fear of deep water comes the inability to swim. While she can keep herself afloat for a few moments, without aid she will be unable to get herself to safety. Everyday Attire Ceylse's royal status often calls for pretty, feminine dresses befitting that of a princess. She does not mind this, but on occasion one might find her in a slim fitting tunic and trousers. Dress: A floor length gown in a soft, rosy shade of pink. The bodice and waist is form fitting with a sweet heart neckline and off the shoulder short sleeves. The gown fills out at the hips and is no longer form fitting, but flowy. Shoes: She typically wears standard black boots that are comfortable and well worn/loved. They are not tattered, but they are far from being new. Belts/Pouches: A simple golden beaded belt typically adorns her waist with a small cloth pouch attached that holds various useful items.

Kain Notte --------------___________--------------- Kain's wings collected on his back as he landed on the open area of the Day castle, noting the kingdom looking nowhere near as in ruins as the Night Kingdom did.He let out a sigh, turning and spreading open his arms, giving a confused face to one of his highest chairmen who had gotten a wing stuck in a branch. "James, you know what a tree is,douchag." Kain snapped, the chairmen just shrugging. His gaze quickly turned from the man in the tree to his highest councilman who landed with a heavy thud, almost falling. "Seriously? Why did I bother to bring you two?You guys are not helping with the impression of 'we won this war not let us go home.'Instead,I'm getting the impression of 'I don't know how to fly' after you two have had wings for God knows how long. Now get out of the tree before I rip you out of it and you stand up,you know how." Kain scolded the two, kicking the door shut with his foot until the two men he had brought with him had straightened up,brushing themselves to look pressed and clean. With a stressed sigh,Kain opened the door and strode in,wings collected well on his back, along with the two other men taking place on either side and behind him.As Kain walked in,he had a sense of unknowingness, slightly concerned they wouldn't agree. "Well well well,Isn't it the Day Kingdom. You can never go wrong with you guys,I'll say that.Anyways,so uh,I'm pouring all this weapons and resources into this war and yeah, the Night Kingdom won." He starts, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a parchment. "Now,If you sign this,it'll end the war,and you'll get the original boundaries back." Kain finished, glancing around at the hull of who had shown up.The princess, the entire council, and a few knights.A woman stood up,from the council. "Prince Kain,we would like to have 15% more of what we originally had,if you will." She voiced, tone confident.Kain just flickered his gaze up to her, eyes casual and eyebrows raised. "Woah, okay then.So....15% more of my kingdom which is falling apart?Hm,gimme a minute to thi- No why on Earth would I give you more land then you deserve? If it was anything it'd be me taking more of your land, not you taking mine.Anyways,to make this official,I need the council, which is all of you yahoos, and the princess," He starts, voice hardening at the mention of the council, voice softer at the mention of the princess.Kain took the quill and quickly scrabbled his signature, letting his two men sign it before passing it around. "Sign it,sign it and we can all go home. There'll be peace, unless you decide on something, which I really hope you don't." Kain finished,a grim smile on his face.

this was your post, just putting it up for refrence.) The council and the knights filled the room and Ceylse followed in soon after. One of the councilmen had attempted to distract her and keep her from entering, but she persisted and pushed her way past him. "Get out of my way, Cristin, or I'll have you removed from the council for attempting to withhold information from the crown," she sighed, her words a last warning to get him to backdown, which he did. They all knew that Ceylse wouldn't just sit out of a council meeting, so she knew something bigger was up. Something they didn't want her to be apart of in hopes she'd just sign whatever agreement came her way. They wouldn't get that wish, however, especially after she listened to what the Prince had to say. She frowned when the woman spoke up, asking for 15% more of the land from the Night Kingdom. They didn't need more land for the kingdom, so she didn't understand why it was even being asked for. If anyone needed more land, it was as the Night Kingdom. The woman opened her mouth to object, but she shut it the moment that Ceylse stood up. "Davina, did you not hear the Prince correctly? The Night Kingdom won the war. We are not in a place to be making negotiations. Nor do we have a reason to," she said firmly, her hands clasped calmly at the front of her waist. Ceylse glanced to Kain, her gaze soft as couple as she continued. "The fact that Prince Kain has been gracious enough to give us back our original land is more than good enough. Why should we ruin the peace that is just at the tips of our fingers by demanding more than our fill?" She questioned, looking amongst her council people. None of them seemed to have a good answer, though the woman began to speak again. "But we need it for-" Ceylse raised a single hand, silencing the woman again. "Whether we need it or not was no where near in the equation. The Night Kingdom deserves all of their land just as much as we do. Sign the paper, I urge you.." Ceylse motioned for the parchment and quill to be given to her, which it was after a few begrudging moments. She signed her signature alongside the three men's before standing up straight again. "You have my approval." She verbally confirmed, her warm gaze meeting that of the Prince. A couple of her council members murmured with uncertainty, only one of them having grabbed the agreement to sign after the Princess.

Kain Notte --------------___________--------------- -- THE DAY KINGDOM MEETING ROOM -- Kain smirked as he watched the Princess and the councilwoman argue, chuckling to himself when she asked for 15% more land.He met her gaze and dipped his head, showing his respect. "Thank you, Princess." Kain said, eyes sharpening as he looked around at the council. "Well, are you going to sign it or not?" The prince asked, voice frosting over as they resisited. Finally once everybody, atleast the council (A.K.A. th important people), had signed, he turned and started heading for the balcony, shuffling his wings out from being tucked tight against him to being looser on his back, ready to fly.Kain stopped, glancing behind him and eyeing his highest member's wing get caught in the door. "James, really?Right now?Great impression. You can do good with the tounge but surprisinlgy horrible with the wings you've had since birth, wow.Anyways, stop trying to help him. It's his fault, not ours." He mumbled to his chairmen, annoyed before turning back to the council and Princess. "Thank you for settling this, may our kingdoms hold peace for hopefully eternity." With a bow he unfurled his wings and launched off the balcony, chairmen struggling to keep up as he took off. "Prince Kain! Sir, we cannot fly that fast!" James called, just now pulling himself into the air with ease. "Then figure it out!" Kain called, turning sharply and heading back to the two, awaiting with impatience before they finally started catching up, Kain taking off again towards the room in the Day Castle he was staying in. -- THE DAY CASTLE -- The Night Prince landed softly in the courtyard as his council men landed with a thud, having not landed here yet.He glanced over his shoulder and rolled his eyes, starting to walk into the castle. "The guard will show you two to your rooms, stay there, don't die, is all I'm asking." Kain ordered, watching as the men looked at him. "But Prince Kain, how will you find your room?" James asked, concern about the heir.Kain turned, letting out a small sigh as he watched as a guard approached. "I'll find it on my own, let the weight of the day dissolve." He explained, putting on a forced small smile.Nate opened his mouth to say something, being silenced by a glare from James.Kain turned, striding to the open castle so he could find his room.He wandered through the halls with grandeur, trying to find the right floor to stop at.Eventually, he did so and found the floor, labled ROYAL GUESTS, hm, must be him.Kain strode to his room, unlocking it with the key and walking in to a fresh, clean room, a window open which led to a balcony, the light streaming in.He also noticed a large curtain tied behind the door, perfect, he'd be putting it up later. The Prince checked his wardrobe he had dropped off, seeing it stocked with everything needed.
