Yep gelding show army is always your first step. The more show horses you have the more money is coming in

I was given advice when I first started to focus on buying geldings for cheap that have decent ratings and showing instead of breeding :)

Angel, the problem with me is that i have 5 slots left, if i breed foals that i don't like the coat, and put them on sale, no one buys them... And i have 15k, so there is no chance of me getting a new barn/pasture to breed more foals...

99% of the ones I have have been given to me or I have bought. Everyone on here knows how much I love them so a lot of people give me or sell me their unwanted ones :) I have probably less than 15 that I bred myself and that is only because I breed a couple thousand foals every month

How can you breed brindles? Or are there no methods, and it's pure luck? Angel, you have tons of brindles, do you have advice?

I bred my wild Knabstupper mare to a purebred Knabstrupper stallion, why is this colts breed called Sport Horse now and not Knabstrupper? Assuming this is the 'breed' for crossbreds?

Oh I found the answer after my search returned nothing I guess. I was too fast to ask. :) My colt has no leopard I guess. Its a Smokey Grullo Appaloosa is that different than leopard? His sire is full of just appaloosa by the way. All Knabstruppers.

From the game help section:
In this game Lp determines if your horse is Appy, and PATN determines what kind of pattern they have. Appy genes work as follows:

Lplp patn-1patn-1 patn-2patn-2 Appy with no appy markings

LpLp patn-1patn-1 patn-2patn-2 Appy with no appy markings

Lplp PATN-1? ?? Leopard

LpLp PATN-1? ?? Fewspot or Snowcap

Lplp patn-1patn-1 PATN-2? One of the following: Blanket with loud spots, Snowflake with less white, Varnish with less white, Frost with less white

LpLp patn-1patn-1 PATN-2? One of the following: Blanket with small spots, Snowflake with more white, Varnish with more white, Frost with more white

Varnish can appear in conjunction with other appy patterns, however it only appears by itself in Lp? patn-1patn-1 PATN-2? horses.

Knabstruppers always have Appaloosa coats and aren't dominant for grey or paint genes.

RID or ISH sire X KNN = ISH
KNN sire X RID or ISH dam = ISH
KNN sire X anthing not KNN, ISH, or RID = SH
Any sire not KNN, ISH, or RID X KNN = SH

KNN sire X KNN dam = KNN foal IF a filly has LP or a colt has LP and PATN. If a foal doesn't meet these criteria, it will be a SH

LPlp or LPLP without PATN: only fillys are KNNs colts are always SH, unless they have at least one PATN!

PATN1 is always dominant over PATN2. So if a horse shows the colors of PATN2, is does not have any PATN1. If a horse shows PATN1-markings, one can not say if they have PATN2.

Wow extended response :) Give myself some time to get it all understood haha. Well maybe I do a genetic test on this horse then. The colt is pictured without any spots or snowflakes or whatever suggesting it being an appy. Must be that then!
Thank you :)

Colts need Lp and a PATN gene to be KNNs, so he's probably carrying Lp but no PATN

Fillys are just Lp

Try using KNNs that have 2 PATN genes to increase your odds of getting a KNN foal.

Thank you :) Im not specifically breeding KNN I was just surprised to get a non KNN from two KNN parents. Noticed a previous foal was also Sport Horse. Genetics go deep in this game which is fun. If it was a good colt I may have invested in gen testing, but I gelded him as he isnt that good nor with really interesting color, for me at least so I just let it be. :) But, its valuable info to know for the future when I will breed with more purpose to get a certain color.
