Any breed of horse can do anything. I had a welsh pony jumping 3 foot+ courses. You don't need a fancy sport horse or warmblood to jump. A quarter horse would suit you very well

I had a Quarter Horse Mare jumping 4 foot+ courses with ease, she probably could have gone higher but we kept it there! Quarter Horses can actually jump pretty well mostly so I think a Quarter Horse would suit what you want well!

I'd recommend an appendix quarter horse if you're planning on just mainly jumping! I've shown AQHA/APHA most of my life, and they're super eager to work and please. My barn is an all around barn, and a good amount of our horses can slow down for western, and move out for the english/jumpers. We have a few that currently show 3'6 actually. Hot Ones Only and The Mile High Club are excellent studs, and all the offspring from those studs I've worked with have been extremely talented and good minded, I'd definitely check out horses by them if you can find them!

QH can jump! I jump my solid paint (so a QH). QH are bred for different things though, if you want to jump don't buy a pleasure bred QH, try to find one bred for english/jumping! Another plus side to QH is how versitile they are. Jump one day, go to a barrel race, then finish the week with a trail ride. I am not really sure of any bloodline to look into but I would ask around on Facebook.

The quarter horses thati have rode for jumping were breed for jumping. The one i used to have i learned on her and jumped to about 5ft. Then i didnt want ti go higher. My mom was able to jump her around 6 1.5 ft. Since she has past but she was the best beginner.

It depends on the horse. Find a QH capable and willing to jump higher.

Yes, any horse can jump or learn to jump! One thing that is very important to look out for is soundness, especially for the hooves and legs. Make sure to do lots of research regarding conformation too, depending on what breeds you look at. Take a good look at the back and withers, make sure they have no previous back issues or saddle soreness. Just some advice from someone who's had to deal with this way too many times!! 😆
