Mari smiled slightly, nodding in agreement. "It doesn't take much to get you upstairs. I could probabaly carry you up," she teased him slightly, moving to run her fingers softly through his hair as he settled down. She did agree... having everyone home, and being home, would be perfect. If, of course, Sage was all okay at home. After a little while, though, when she figured he was asleep enough, she gently shifted him from her lap and moved to to go find the kids an all before settling down for the night.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, sort of giving her a tired grin. "I'd like to see you do that," he mused quietly. The thought of it happening was amusing, he could admit that. The funniest part was that if she had to, she probably could carry him. Hopefully, it would never get to that situation. He'd drifted off quickly after that though, as maris lap was both familiar and honestly quite comfortable. It wasn't the first time he'd passed out on her. He slept well, but woke early the next morning, unable to fall back asleep. He supposed he was just excited to get home.

Mari slept comfortably through the night once she'd settled the kids down, although woke early the next morning to thelp the doctor out a little... she made sure to ask for Sage's meds, since she assumed he hadn't just yet, before going to get the kids ready to go. She soon found her way to Sage, though, with a light breakfast and a small smile spead across her face. "You're awake," she hummed, popping the tray down on his lap.

Sage had sat around restlessly until marj and come in, and he sort of nodded with a hum. "I'm excited to get home, I guess," he noted with a shrug. He took the tray from her, sort of eyeing the food to see what his options were before digging in. "The doctor said he'd give you meds," he noted around a bite of fruit. "Did he tell you when we could go though? He didn't mention it to me, had to run off and stich a guy back up or something," he added, peering back over at Mari with a cocked head

Mari smiled slightly at his comment, humming thoughtfully. "We all are," she noted gently. She was excited to get back to something... semi-normal. As normal as it could get, she supposed. She sort of moved to peck his cheek when he started to dig in, then got up to start gathering his things. "Wr can head back whenever," she noted as she started packing a few things away. "Might be a good idea to wait until he'd back fist though... I want him to give you a good check over and at least say thank you before we leave," she mused.

Sage humemd softly as she spoke, just nodding along as he ate. He perked up when she said they could go whenever, wrinkling his nose slightly as she said she'd want him to check him over beforehand."I'm fine," he sort of huffed, but agreed all the same. It couldnt hurt. The doctor seemed to agree, as he'd slipped in pretty soon after sage had started eating and checked him over. It didn't take long, and soon enough he was scrambling out of bed as fast as his body would take him, eager to get everyone home.

Mari rolled her eyes, but waiting for the doctor to come in before eventually just rushing towards him a little. "Sage, slow down," she chuckled slightly after a second. She was just excited as him, but the last thing they needed was Sage injuring himself right after getting better. "Come on," she hummed once she was sure he was like... stable, slowly making their way down to the gates where the children were playing happily.

Sage had let out a sort of grumbled when Mari told him to slow down, but did so anyway, waiting for her to catch up and then going at a slightly slower pace where she could walk along next to him in case somerhing happened. He doubted anything would, but it was nice to have her along just in case. He greeted the kids, who had come running when they saw him, helping them all into the carriage that was waiting for them. He let Mari help him in, sort of plopping down where he could peer out the window, fidgeting the entire ride home. When they were finally there, he sort of just paused in the living room, looking around . It was the same as always. All cleaned up, everything was replaced. He let out a soft breath after a moment, shoulders relaxing. He moved to plop onto the couch, scooping amber up with a grin when the cat ran into the room moments later. She was even larger than before...he really couldn't imagine it would be much longer before she had her babies.

Mari wandered alone happily, glad to spend time all together even if it was just going home. The kids seemed more excited than any of them, as soon as they got home they just seemed to run off to the yard to greet Anthony and Xander who were still seeing to the horses. She was glad to find they'd helped tidy the place up a little... they ned new locks on the doors, the windows too. She supposed it was just her brothers going into over drive, but it was nice to see... and certainly nice to have. She wandered in with Sage, making sure he was settled before going to see her brothers with some cold drinks. They seemed okay... glad to see them all, she supposed. Once they'd left, though, she wandered back to Sage, offering him some food and something to drink before plopping herself down on the floor next to the couch.

Sage had wished he could have gone down to the barn, and seen the horses. And maroa brothers, of course, but he'd been worried about all the animals. Chaos was still his best friend. Part of the family, really. Even so, he had to settle on the couch, not having the energy to go out to the barn after the long day of travelling. It wasn't really that long, of course, but it had seemed like it. He barely had any energy to pet amber, who had long ago buried into his lap. He'd closed his eyes after a bit, only opening them when Mari had come back in. He accepted some food and water, chuckling when she'd just plopped down on the floor. "You gonna be able to get up later," he teased gently, sort of reaching out to lazily take her hand. "Cuz I can't help much."
