Gale eventually tipped his head back, jaw clenched, every muscle so tense it was as if he was amde of stone. "Fuck," Gale groaned, shutting his eyes. |

"You alright?" Kayla asked, her eyes anxiously sweeping over him |

"Don't know," He managed, letting out a heavy breath. "Fuck them, don't know what the hell they used but it works, it works alright." |

"I'll be fine," He said, voice quiet, waiting for the pain to pass. |

Kayla wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek. "I'll be here" |

"I know you will," He says, body loosening slightly. |

"Always am" She said softly, holding him |

"You're always here for me so i'll always be here for you, simple, really." His voice was still ragged, creaking at some points. Gale shifted, leaning against her more comfortably. |
