"Hi mama!" Hunter squealed happily. He'd had his first words, but not his first steps yet. Nate smiled, wiping away his tears.

Dakota beamed as she kissed Nate's cheek

Nate smiled, and pulled her in for a kiss, a real kiss.

Dakota kissed him deeper, her smile wide as Hunter tapped her for attention. "No, mama." He complianed, tugging on her shirt

Nate smiled as they broke the kiss, looking over at Hunter with a chuckle.

"Ready to head home, bud?" She asked, slightly bouncing Hunter and putting him in the car. She got in, the familiar smell of his truck surrounding her and letting her tension melt away.

"Yay! Go home!" Hunter squealed excitedly. Nate smiled and got into the drivers seat, taking Dakotas hand and squeezing it as he began to drive.

Dakota grinned the whole ride home, excited. She hopped out as soon as the truck was in park, breathing in the smell of horses. Of home.She went and grabbed Hunter before going to Nate and kissing him.

Nate smiled and kissed her.

She put Hunter on the couch in front of the tv that was playing his favorite show. She walked to Nate and slid her arms around his neck. "I missed you" She said softly
