Nate collapsed into her, hugging her and crying.

"It's okay, love....It's okay..." She said, holding him tight and kissing his head. "Why are you crying?"
| |

"I'm sorry..." he cried. "I'm sorry I can't help you the way you need to be helped... I'm so sorry..."

"No....no, love, you do enough just being there for me...Don't cry....please..." She softly begged, tears of her own shame for herself began slowly rolling down her face. The water turned cold after a while and Dakota shut it off after washing and rinsing them both. She grabbed them towels, handing one to Nate as she dried off. She paused, looking at him softly, before going to him and wrapping her arms around him. "I love you."

"I love you more..." he whispered into her hair, hugging her back. "It was so hard without you... I need you..."

"I need you too..." She said, kissing his cheek. "For both of our sakes, let's not get seperated again, hm?"

Nate nodded, still hugging her.

Dakota heard Hunter yelling for his parents. "Mama! Daddy!" He yelled from the couch. "I got him." Dakota said softly, kissing his head and untangling herself as she got dressed

Nate nodded, "Okay," he replied, getting dressed too, just taking his time.

"We can just cuddle after I settle him down for a nap?" She offered, pulling one of Nate's t-shirts from a drawer and onto herself. She put her hair in a messy bun before going to take care of their son. "What do you need, bud?" She asked, scooping him up. "Hungry." He said simply. "You just ate! We're gonna starve if you eat all the food!" She joked dramatically, lifting Hunter into the air. "C'mon, silly, let's get some food." She took him to the fridge and he picked out some strawberries. She cut them into bites and he ate them before she settled him down for a nap. She sighed, walking back toward her and Nate's room.
