Oh also, I heard betta fish like shallow water so does that mean something as tall as 12" is too tall for them?

Do you guys have any tank brand recommendations? I definitely need one with a lid.

They are great for supplies! Our LFS actually partners with them because of how much they recommend them.

I was thinking of ordering supplies from this company. I have heard good things and they have good guides.

Checkout used tanks often people will be nearly giving them away, just make sure to fill it up outside first for a few days to make sure it’s not leaking. Never take a tank with cracks even if they’re small and are current ply holding water

Or, you can typically do it cheaper by piecing it together yourself. Tank, light, cover(optional), heater, filter, air pump, airline hoses, bubble wand, substrate, and then obviously decorations (nothing plastic) and the fish.

I reccomend tetras as well, you want a lot 10-20 as theyre schooling fish and they have a high casualty rate especially when you first get them

You can get a 20 gallon tall kit at most pet stores for about $200 that will include just about everything except substrate, plants, and fish.

Bird, I loved my tetras, I believe I had the 2 for 4/5 years? But do be weary when you get them, I originally had 4 but unfortunately we lost 2 very shortly after due to the 'professionals' we talked with I'll informing us on the best amount for our tank!

@charm, I was hoping to keep it less than $500

Like with anything it takes a lot of research (and it's a bit of an investment) to do things right.

Bettas are definitely able to get away with a 10. I just wouldn't go lower, they explore and swim around way more than people realize

Bird, Unfortunately I never got to try a planted tank, but I've heard amazing things! I do really wish I'd had time to lol

For preferably a smaller tank. Less than 20 gallons.

Other than betta fish, what are some good beginner fish?

Exactly what charm said! It really makes things easier, and the fish love it too!

The keyboard controls seem stiff. I'm often having to hit a key multiple times to move a piece around.

Using the down arrow to make a piece drop isn't much faster than letting it naturally drop.

Pause doesn't work; it actually mutes/unmutes the game.

The mute feature only mutes the music and not the "chirp" when a new piece spawns.

Which browser are you on because I'm not having those problems?

Mute is only supposed to mute the music, I think.

Older version of firefox. Let me go jump on chrome real quick and see if I still have the same issue.

Ok, pause works on chrome, but it ummutes the music still.

The dropping still seems slow, but I'm also a major tetris fan and more used to the PC version(s) x)

The movement is less choppy, so I may need to do a restart of my firefox browser (will need to test that and report back).

html5 isn't very compatible with older browsers, so it may have issues for you.

I got past 9 lines complete and the blocks basically got dumped on me, sorta like someone just dumped a bucket of 'em. Pretty funny, but pretty much impossible lol

Thanks a lot for making it touchscreen friendly! :D I was wondering though, maybe have a faint grid to see which column your shape is due to land in?
