You need to hve more than 1K. Trust me. The horse may cost 1K, but the first month of vet bills (you WILL want the horse to be examined), feed, supplies, and extra money just in case because accidents happen a lot with horses.

It just seems like right now may not be the best time. I would keep your dreams and just work even harder till you are at the right point in time. Just save up as time goes on and you will get there, you just may not be there right now.

I apologize if that hurt you in any way, but you asked for suggestions and we all gave you some. It could just be even worse if you didn't have enough money for all of the bills that could come your way.

If you're acting like this over people telling you the truth about buying and owning a horse, you are far from ready to own a horse. Horses take intense knowledge, money, and resources.

I believe you can still get a horse! Just keep on going don't think about what others are saying if it is hurting you feelings!

I dont believe anybody was shoving hurtful things down your throat We were telling you the truth to help both you and the horse you were looking at getting. From experience, I know that buying a horse is by far the cheapest part of owning a horse. Edited at April 11, 2018 07:49 PM by Oceane Elites

^^ I have owned horses for a while now and they can really eat at your money. It will take more than you might have in mind. Before I got my first horse, I had been riding for 7 years and thought I was prepared, but some of those bills took our family by surprise. You just have to be prepared.

You cant put a price tag on any animal if you can pay more than 1,000 a month for a horse then you can afford a horse but horses can get pricey those vet bills might come unexpected.
