Lol another thing you can do is you can use a plant like pothos that can live with their roost fully in water and the betta can live amongst the roots if you suspend the plant above the tank with just the roots in the water

Ok so this is a genuine question for any parents on HEE - My mom said dinner's ready and I said what are we having. She said chicken, shrimp, and salad. I said what kind of salad and she started freaking out and telling me I'm rude and not supportive. Now here's the question - Is there a reason for this?

I think a lot of people think keeping live aquarium plants is hard, but most of the common ones you find you don't have to do any extra things to care for them. Maybe take out any dead leaves when they have them but they live off of the waste from the fish

Bird, With fish tanks bigger is actually easier, it depends on the space you have available but with the nitrogen cycle bigger tanks are much easier to maintain water quality, smaller tanks are more likely to have something like an ammonia spike happen quicker. Big tanks are much more forgiving. I have a 500L which I upgraded from. 300L. Those are both too big for a betta though so don’t think you need that. 5-10g will be perfect

That is literally where they originate. It isn't spreading anything. They originate from thailand and asia and live in stagnant pools.

I just wanna jump in to say the ‘live in puddles’ part is a harmful notion to be spreading, 2.5g is the absolute bare minimum, 5g is the ideal minimum

@Angels, can I get a photo of it? Did you cycle the tank with the live plants beforehand?

Hi everyone! I have a question for y'all.
.
I have a training program where I buy young Elite SD colts, geld them, train them up, and sell them. So far, I've just been putting it out there that I have geldings for sale, but I kind of want to do something different.
So I was thinking something like this:
People can sign up to get geldings. They'd have to tell me how many geldings they want (a reasonable number of course), in what discipline, etc. and then I'd do that for them and hopefully have the geldings ready for them in a month or so. There would be a wait list of maybe 5 stables, and I could do multiple "orders" at a time. I could do it for just beginning stables or not, and if not I could give them a discount or something. I was thinking the prices will vary for each level.
.
Anyways, there are a lot more details to figure out, and I'll get to that if I decide to do it.
I was just wondering this: Would you buy from me if I made this happen?
.
EDIT: I've decided not to start this project/business thing simply because I want to do other things. I'm getting into bravery etc. currently so I'm pretty preoccupied.
But if you want to put in a personal order, I'll consider making it happen! So basically, it's not going to be an official business.
Thanks to all who helped with this!

I think this is a great idea if they are priced lower than the 'average' market! Maybe lower the price by approximately 500 ebs-1k per gelding to make it worth buying them from you, and you could also do 'bulk' prices. I am not sure how much the training etc. costs to level up the geldings to the point you would sell them at, though.

My only thought on this is that it would take a long time to train up geldings to the training levels that are most desirable, i.e. level 3 or higher.

If an E horse takes 6-7 weeks to be show-ready at level 1, then another 6 weeks, for level 2 and so on, that means about 18 weeks (4.5 months) of feeding them and paying their riders. That's a lot of time and expense to put into something that everyone will want for a discount as the poll above seems to be leaning towards. It's not a bad thought, but you would want to be charging appropriately for horses you've put time and money into.

Yes that is my problem exactly. I need to be able to profit from it, but people want cheap enough prices to not take a bite in their money account. I'm not sure how to make it so it's sufficient on both sides.
It would also be more of a long-time thing, so stables would expect to wait a while to get the horses.

I breed an excess of my requirements so no need to purchase in purely for showing.
My mares show well, if they breed badly I often keep and show them.

I would most definitely buy! I wouldn't mind paying a fair bit for well trained geldings! Also, would you take a certain amount of geldings off someone and train them for the person (for a charged rate)? Like a commission? So maybe the player is paying you a certain amount every week (or at the end) for feed, and training?

That's an interesting idea! I'll... think about that.
