Yeah. I'm a little frustrated though because I could really use the money from selling him and I was hoping to have him completely undersaddle and trotting small crossrails by October but looks like that's out the window 😂 every horse has their own timeline for sure

@Puck, kudos to you for being willing to back off and work on groundwork instead of just pushing him!

He's doing good! Finally handling all four of his feet and he's much more confident and happier and starting to really show his personality. I stepped back from riding and am in the process of rebacking him because I wasn't really happy with how backing him went, and I think the second time around is going to be much more successful

So far a couple of my favorite KNN catches. I don’t usually like them but these two might change my mind 😂

Lol felt that. Woke up early, had to drag the ring, work with the pony, set/order grain, and then went to my friend's to clip her horse and then we ran a bunch of errands together and now I'm just on the couch completely dead because it's too hot to be this productive

I'm good! Been busy running errands all day so I am finally sitting down.

Hi! After a very stressful show seson this summer I qualifed for Colonial Classics Championships finals! I know I should be thrilled for this opportunity to show against all of the other people who quailfied. But the big thing right now is money, its going to cost at least $500 if not more. I need to enter in by the 19th and it starts September 1st. I have no clue what to do.

congrats on getting in! happy for ya
A big part of the costs for me to show is always buying riding gear and feed, bits and bobs for everything you need. I just restrict myself as much as i possibly can and do it all on a tight budget.
But if its the entry fee or something like transport thats gonna cost you that amount of money, im afraid there isnt a great deal you can do :(

Its mostly the fees and how much stabling is going to cost. I made a deal with my parents that I would pay for all my shows because we dont have around $200 to spend every show. I am thinking if i can work more then I can pay for it but its so soon so i dont know if I will have time.

You could go through all of your tack and figure out what you don't need anymore and sell it, it might not bring in a lot of money but it could help.

Can you share a horse and cut stabling fees in half that way?

Would your parents be willing to make an exception and help you out for this show? Could you work out a deal to pay them back over time? Because you're right, you don't have a lot of time to fundraise.
