Totally against allowing cross-breeding KNNs.
I think having 5 breeds able to cross-breed is enough.
Making things 'easier' shouldn't be a goal.

Making things easier isn't the goal. It's a side effect of the goal. The real life breed registery updated their requirements to allow outcrosses. So we will be doing the same.

Okay, respectfully and honestly, if you don't want to crossbreed to better the breed and challenge yourself, then you can do that. No one is stopping you from KNN X KNN only crosses. No, I don't think this is going to lower the value of any KNN when cross breeding is only going to make the overall breed stronger.
.
BUT, as KNN breeders, I really find it interesting that everyone seems so against trying to be able to cross KNN with other breeds to make the overall breed better. Sure, you absolutely can cross KNN X KNN and get the #1 ABLB horse (potentially and theoretically) but it's going to be a whole heck of a lot easier, smarter, cheaper to do that if you could crossbreed. And as Eve said, it really won't be THAT much more easier (at least starting out) becuase you'll still have to adhere to the color genetic rules).
.
I mean, as it stands now, there are still some training traits Mv, Hrt, Spd, etc that are specifically tailored to each breed to be stronger in those traits. I always forget which ones go with which breed tho. Anyways, being able to cross these strong traits up is what makes the overall horse better. It's probably one of the driving factors to why SH has dominated the ABLBs for so long (of course, there are still many many many more reasons but whatever).
.
I'm just saying, yall be hating on changing things up just becuase it decreases the difficulty of the breed but I think you guys should actually be the ones wanting it and appreciating the change if you want to be competitive on the LBs for longer. Whatever, just my 2 cents.
.
Ps. I absolutely do NOT think this discredit ANY KNN breeder! They got this far without extra breeds, but guess how much better they could make the KNNs!?

This. If you want to breed a specific way, then do it... If not, then don't. No need to restrict the breed for everybody because you prefer difficulty. Challenge yourself, it doesn't need to be site-wide. KNNs are in desperate need of assistance ESPECIALLY in certain aspects like Scope. Plus, it'll bring back the need for more plain looking horses.
.
I think leave out TBs from crosses, as they're expensive and valuable enough with all they can do. But WBs and AAs? There's no reason not to. None.

Both of these. As someone who has been breeding KNN ratings for 7+ irl years, we /really/ need the boost. KNN brood market is only good for the limited amount of WWW KNN mares. I can barely ever brood out my WW KNNLB mares. From my experience KNNLB studs are worth almost nothing at stud and sales are even worse.
This would help us a LOT.

I'm so happy this was considered! I think if people really still would like the challenge of electing to not outcross they can always choose KNN crosses only, nothing is particularly preventing that. There is always the implementation of blood% tracking that could be further involved but that seems to track into a different problem that a few have been rather outspoken about their disinterest in.

I hate the idea of crossbreeding because i do like the challenge(and I will probably avoid crossbreeding for the most part still) but I like the semirealism of the game so since its something the real life registry has allowed I dont see why we shouldnt.
~
I would really like if their could be a tag or something that notes wether or not a horse is pure KNN or if its been crossbred. That would help those players who wanr to avoid crossbreeding while also helping those who want to crossbreed.

I honestly like it the way it is.
I havent been doing them long, but I feel as though KNNs are the only breed with a decent brood market, I feel as though being able to cross breed them will make them as easy as some of the other breeds.
I do think if it were introduced, only 1 of the breeds above would do. Not all 3.
Although many will appreciate it. I also think many also like the challenge of no crossbreeding in game with the breed.
Edit: I do agree that the breed needs help. and will most definately use the cross breeding if introduced lol. But i quite like the challenge of them as a 'stand alone' in game

I am with Zomb there. 3 breeds seems a bit too much, especially TBs. They can be used for AA,X, WB, SH, ISH, PON and now KNN.. that turns them into the absolute joker and kind of monopolises the entire market.
While I'd be happy to introduce new patterns (yay for shineh) and blood to the KNN, I think it also dismisses what we've achieved for the breed without any crossbreedings.
If we were to add TBs to the KNN line, I'd probably do it the same way as it works for WB. KNN Sire x TB mare, just to keep the TB sires from monopolising the market or skyrocketing in price.

I clicked yes but the more I think about it, my answer changes to no. I agree with Zomb. I would prefer they stay the way they are :).

I agree with this comment. I was going to breed KNN in this account, but as is I think they are too hard to be enjoyable (in my opinion).

This^ I think it'd make the most sense. TBs are already incredibly versatile with crossbreeding, so limiting it like we do with WBs would help keep the challenge of KNNs without them being RL years behind other breeds.
-
And(correct me if I'm wrong, I've fallen behind with keeping up with registries so I probably am haha) I thought WBs, perhaps a certain breed of them, were allowed to crossbreed with knabs IRL first, no? I thought Spotilas, that Totilas x Knab boy, was registered with a knab-cross registry or something, I don't remember xD
