I think some people do put it on top. Mixed up weetabix is the most horrendous texture though haha. They brought out some weetabix shakes years ago and they were vile. No idea if they still make them

So, I have a ratings program and I'm slowly working my EEE numbers up, ever since I started with an EEE wild mare.
I currently have a ton of PPP combos, which some, I'm keeping for showing but for the fillies I'm skeptical as to if I should keep or not.
My reasoning being, they could be amazing producers, but even so, if it was a PPP x EEE match it wouldn't sell for much as I've seen.
Should I cull all the PPP fillies and just continue with EPP combos and eventually keep at EEP combos or should I give the fillies a chance to see how they produce?

Personally for me it depends heavily on breed. I have an SA strictly dedicated to TBs and only keep PEE combos for personal use. If I allow PPP - PEP combos they have to have a decent amount of color to benefit TBs and if they don't I toss them. They then have to have average or good training for a PPP+ and then have to produce PEP+. I also tend to use lower LB studs on them rather than just studs up for free and I do match them the best I can. It's all about personal preference so if you think that some of the fillies will benefit your program than keep them if not you could CS them and show or simply FR for the 1k when they're 2.

That makes a lot of sense, thanks for the explanation of your method.
I think I'll likely train them a bit and go from there, Some have color but I'll probably free range the plain ones at 2.
