it's the only downside since occasionally I know people who live on like 2nd or 3rd floors might order things and you might not have elevator access. But even then, that's rare.

I see a lot of people on tik tok do instacart? It seems alright, it's grocery store but sometimes you have to lift heavy things (dog food, cases of water, ect) is the downside

Yeah that is true. I just want to maximize my income by choosing the best one though. I may just sign up for a few different ones and try them out on my next day off. I am just not getting crap for hours at my job and I need to find another source for income that is flexible enough to work around my work schedule and school

The first book honestly felt to me like a badly written high school romance where the Bad Boy is really really mean to the girl until she manages to be Different enough to win his heart. There was no political drama or magic or anything until the last few chapters.

Secret Life of Bees

(Might be a couple spoilers | I mostly kept to the back of the book details)

I'd love to put my thoughts out here on this wonderful, wonderful book. Despite being a relatively simple read or a newer book, it was very attention grabbing. I'd like to believe it was the execution of the writing itself. It felt fluid, very natural. It was written in a way that conveyed Lily's thoughts and emotions extremely well, almost to where I might have believed them to be my own. I think Sue did a good job in making it interesting, it always made me want to flip to the next page, what was she going to do next? What was August going to say? How would Rosaleen respond to Lily?

Despite there being a lot going on in the book at a consistent pace, it was also very laid back, as though it wasn't trying that hard to grab at you but adding enough detail to keep it fresh and keep away the burnout. I literally read this in 5 days (around school and lessons).

The plot was very eyecatching (had I not been forced to read I would have likely picked it up had I seen it in a library). I've always enjoyed these sort of "coming-of-age" books, particularly when pertaining to the Jim Crow era, 1950's and later, that sort of thing. I feel like her thinking she has killed her mom was a very good addition to the book and really drove the story forward when without it, it would have been as boring as an autobiography (no offense to those who enjoy them).

I also can't get over the characters. They felt so real and were so unalike from one another! Their speech was so natural it kind of felt like they were talking to me XD.

It was just such a sweet, heartwarming story and in it's own wholesome way, extremely relatable! I loved it! 10/10.

Hi, I'm Reality! I love pretty much anything with a romance undertone!

What I'm currently reading: I am normally reading like 8 different books, but I actually only reading one, The Lost Book Of White (The Eldest Cures Book #2) - Cassandra Claire.

My favorite Series: That's a tough one.

My favorite Book: Mmm, City of Heavenly Fire currently.

A little about me: I've always been a huge and very talented reader, a lot of my favorites are books I should have outgrown years ago, but still love, like The Overlander Chronicles, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Hero of Olympus, and Keeper of the Lost Cities (though that's taken a turn). One of my close friends recommend the The Mortal Instruments to me and lent me The Grisha Trilogy. I loved both. He also said the Six Of Crows was awesome, but it didn't seem all that great to me, (I haven't read it yet, so feel free to convince), I loved The Mortal Instruments and am now reading the Eldest Curse, before moving on (has anybody read the Shadowhunter series with Tessa Gray? Want to know if it's worth it!) I'm super excited for Lady Midnight, I loved Emma and Julian.

One of my favorite authors is Natasha Preston, especially The Cabin, The Cellar and the Silence Series.

I have started getting into a more fantasy type genre, but am still dedicated to anything horse. Looking for any recommendations, I tried Harry Potter, eh. If it has a romance undertone or is a romance all together, I'm here for it! Even if you think their a little "young" but are still good, let me hear them! I am a strong reader that can handle long books, so throw em here!

Another book that was recommended to me by my friend, was Dawn Of Wonder (can't remember the author, just that it was very good, but long). So if anybody has read that, I'd love your opinion (spoiler free please) and wether it's worth reading!

Have any of you guys ever read the Folk of the Air series by Holly Black? I just read it because I needed something while I was sick, and it looked interesting, and now I'm wondering what others think about it. The first 2/3rds of the first book seemed kind of clumsily done and boring, but then once it picked up the series was close to or on par with the other authors you guys are discussing here.

I read them! I... didn't like them as much as the friends that recommended it to me did. I don't know if it was the romance or what, but something about it fell flat with me. But I do see the appeal to other readers. The last book was a fun read at least.

I read them too and I loved them. Although it wasn't the romance that sold me on them, it was Jude and the beautiful world of Elfhame. Holly Black writes very good characters with a lot of depth and I remember being able to really visualise the world she created too. I really enjoyed reading from Jude's POV, she's a strong female character who is cunning and sly and her actions prove that. I find so many YA authors tell us their characters are clever and cunning, but their actions never show it. I did read them a while ago though, I might reread them to see how my opinion changes

Okay so I have some recs!

Winternight Trilogy - about Russian folklore and set in medieval Russia. Not everyone's cup of tea but I was enchanted by it. The romance is very slow burn, and basically non existent in the first book because it follows Vasya from childhood to adulthood. Some people thought this was very slow in the beginning, I didn't mind much.

Kingdom Of The Wicked - everyone I know who has read this book has loved it. It released last year and the second book in the series is set to release in September I think. I finished it in two days. "I hoped the Kingdom of the Wicked was ready for a vengeful Queen" if that doesn't sell it, I don't know what will.

Flame In The Mist - again, when I read this I fell inlove. I would recommend any of Renée Ahdieh's books to anyone (definitely check out her other series!)

Definitely read Six of Crows! You won't regret it, I promise
To Kill a Kingdom and the Everless series are honourable mentions too.

Finished Six Of Crows this afternoon and just started on the sequel - sadly I read King Of Scars as my first Bardugo novel, so it spoilt a character death and the ending of Shadow
And Bone. However, I'd love to chat/fan girl about SoC via PM with whoever is interested!
Also, found this video and I'm wheezing xD
