She wrapped her arms around him once he settled, drifting off. |

the next day, Noah wasn't much better. He wasn't crying constantly, but he was distant and quiet, keeping to himself, not doing much but zoning out. |

She would go and sit next to him, looking over at him. "Please just tell me what's going on, please." Emery would repeat over and over again throughout the day. |

Emery nodded and sighed internally, feeling a heavy weight for he wouldn't just talk to her about it, maybe get it off his chest. She was there for him, and she'd listen anytime he spoke. |
