She finished eating quickly and took a few swigs from her water, now awaiting on Sage to finish.She observed him, the way he put Liz first through anything.

Sage ate quickly, not wanting to hold them up. Once he was done he packed everything up and grunted, moving to stand up. "Let's go," he sort of noted, scooping Liz up and waiting for the older girl to get up as well.

She stood, following along as they kept walking.

They walked for another few hours, not talking very much. It was peaceful that way, so he certainly didn't mind. Even Liz was quiet for the most part, looking around with big eyes as they moved.

Elara just followed, having nothing to talk about making for silence.

As the sun started to set that night, sage glanced over at the princess. "There's a small cave we can stay in about ten minutes," he informed her. "We'll likely stay the night there," he added.

"Im fine with that, shelter is shelter." She states, continuing on.

Sage nodded in response to her comment, moving to pick up any firewood they could find along the way. If they were still walking, it made sense to just grab it on the way to the caver rather than get there and then go look.

(all good lol, writers block is a thing and it sucks) Sage had gathered enough wood to start the fire by the time they got to the cave, and settled Liz down safely in the back of it before moving to start making the fire. "If you want to see if there's any game nearby that would be helpful," he suggested to her
