I aboslutley love the GoPro 7 black! It is waterproof and the quality is amazing of the riding. The audio is not as good as the GoPro 8 and it is also not as stable as the GoPro8 in terms of if you are at anything faster than a walk, the video will be a little bit bumpy. The GoPro 8 is not as bouncy but the image/video quality is very saturated and not as good as the 7 in that aspect and the 7 in general is better from what I have seen overall. The 7 is much much cheaper than the 8 and is better. The 7 works really well as a helmet cam and everything that has been recorded by my family(hiking, snorkeling, skateboarding ect) has all turned out beautifully and I believe it would be amazing as a helmet cam for riding horses as it is clearer than the other versions, does not break easily and is overall a really good quality product. It is also voice activated so the GoPro can turn on and off, record and take photos all by command as long as you have the command option on which is something I don't think the earlier GoPros could do.
