Ive definitely kicked mares to my show string for throwing consistently lackluster foals. I was already looking for weak mares without realizing it LOL Thank you!

Im excited for RO. I have my very first WWW bred stallion for his freshman year. His sire was my own horse so I know he might not hit LB but I have my fingers crossed he does produce well!

In Lilac's case, if you looking at the breeding history, the mare is "weak" because she hasn't produced above EEE even when bred with WWW stallions. There's a small chance she could produce W if paired with a stronger stallion higher up the leaderboard. But like I said, the foal might end up being weak and so it's not worth it to continue using that mare.

I guess tomorrow I am going to plant grain. Hopefully it rains a bit each day because I can't afford to buy water each day

Thank you Imp! That was very helpful! I have been tracking some training but didn't really know what was good and what wasnt

If you wanted to give it a best shot, I'd try sending her to a stallion higher on the leaderboard. But there's a big chance even if you get a single W, the foal will be very weak. You'll get better results if you save your EBs for a stronger mare. Try buying a brood over owning a mare.

This is a legitimate question - I am just starting to breed high rated horses.
How do you determine if a horse is strong or weak?
The Lone Star

Lilac, that mare is very weak. I doubt you'll get anything above EEE out of her.

Not really. I would rather use an Scp glass

Would a XC Medallion be beneficial for this match? Or no?

Do you remember when you finally have a breeding season where you feel like you may finally be making some progress? This season I was actually having to free range PPP+ foals in my AA herd to make room to finish my breeding! Out of 50 mares, I had 3 EEP combos (I've only bred 5 total before this year) and a slew of PEPs. I know some seasons are good and some bad, but lately it feels like I'm finally making some headway. With my game, rather than go straight out and buy expensive proven horses, I decided I wanted to try to build up a herd using mostly homebred mares. Now, all but a few of my mares are homebred, and over half of those are re-bred inhouse (20 get matched with LB studs I can afford to keep new blood circulating ;)). My boy CW Always Windy is consistently throwing PPP and up . It was a good breeding year. Now to get my PONs going...
