When I was 18 I was asked how I like my steak & I said well done
I meant like good yum food type of done
I had no idea that was an actual term
Up until then I had only had steak done by my dad (who ruined anything he touched) and my mom (who made reasonable steaks)
They brought my food after everyone else had been served & it was burn & horrible
I wanted to cry
Now I just cook my own they way I like them in the middle of the woods over real fire

What it is, someone in the community made a bunch of food to thank the firefighters and the leftovers were needing to be given away, thus how I was able to get free food.

So I'm having trouble thinking about that steak possibly knowing there's almost no chance it was done right (medium well & flame grilled)

the steak is soft and not too fatty either. it's really good though. i am typing with one hand on a laptop so, i am not able to do punctuation and uppercase at the current moment.

Hugs. I'm sad to hear he has passed. But please know that his life was so much better because he got to know you. I couldn't be there for my boy either. All your memories with him go to heaven with him. <3

Don´t think too harsh of you, because you had to leave him behind.
Your situation was soo hard and i am sure he is happy over there on the evergreen rainbow pastures - because he can see that you are well now and have loving and caring parents and your dogs around you.

Adulting is hard enough - and unfortunately it is part of growing up that e have to leave things behind or loose beloved persons or animals.

But as Eve said:
You had a great time with him and he always knew, that you loved him.
That is a lot for "just a horse" - because they are NEVER "just a horse" to a special person!

You did what you needed to do, Jaley, and for that you should be proud. I'm so so so sorry that it meant leaving him, though. He's such a lucky boy to have gotten to know you, and at least the majority of his life was wonderful with you. He's in a better place. Nothing really makes it feel better, but you can find peace in knowing that nothing will happen to him now <3

I know. You will love a new horse maybe even as much as Choef, and sometimes you will be truly happy, but when youÂ’ll be on your own youÂ’ll feel sad and sore.
