My horses love me, they come when called, easy to catch and handle. But being *besties* can be misconstrued by many, and lead to horses with pushy and dangerous ground manners. They are still a large animal! That is where training and respect come in. Horses can love you and still realize you are a leader not an equal
We have a horse that bites. Victim of not enough work on his ground manners. He is an ass on the ground, but is phenomenal in the saddle. He is currently stalled in a stall not usually passed by by people, and when we have events we do this: -Click- -Click-
Star/Elf - I only have a theory. I was using an older bale feeder and she jumped in, broke it somehow, then cut herself somehow. She was fine at night check then the next morning she had that cut and the feeder was broken

I was watching YouTube and found a short where a girl got mad and was crying during the show so she hit the horse... she shouldn't have that horse in her possession
The barn owner where we ride. Has a dilemma. One of the boarders horses bit one of the lesson kids. Just for putting food back in his trough. Apparently he's food aggressive and he corner one of the assistants that was cleaning out his stall... She said she was about ready to kick them out...
I will have to look that up Buckeye. I am always willing to learn, just not what has been slung my way as natural horsemanship. Literally almost got me killed on one of her own school horses.
We work hard- we are taught proper horsemanship down to the smallest detail. I personally do not let horses walk all over me- they listen to their job gets significantly harder
the *being boss* will get you nowhere with a smart horse, and could get you hurt. Dont even try to boss a mule, haha.
It is the responsibility of the rider to communicate through aids and body in a way the horse can understand and then act in a desirable way. It does not matter if you are asking for piaffe in upper level dressage, or for a sliding stop in reining, or for your horse to cross a creek on a trail ride. It all works the same in the horses mind. They have no idea what a ribbon or belt buckle is. They are just trying to get along with their human and maybe get that carrot at the end of the day haha

The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

Set Breeding Requirements for your horse. Enter the minimum rating allowable for breeding. When breeding, Any combo of the entered values and higher will be accepted. Leave blank to set to None.
Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
