Duchess hoped a little, startled, before turning to ghost "ghost is a fitting name, how did you learn to appear like that?

ghost snorted as duchess spoke " i was a lone stallion since i was around three i know were my feet are and end up being a bit to quite" he responded looking over at her

Mystery smiled at Dutchess's response and nodded playfully "Oh, i see" She returned the sarcasm, then looked at Ghost who just snuck up on the two mares, she giggled "Ha nice try Ghost! But I'm used to you sneaking around" Mystery said shaking her mane gracefully than trotting back into the herd, leaving the two to talk

Mystery went to the top of the hill and started counting heads, once she was sure that everyone was safe she laid down to rest. she chuckled at the idea that there weren't any foals in the herd which was sort of good since that meant no extra stress on the mares or herself. Trying to constantly make sure that they would be safe. She always wanted a foal of her own - But knowing what they were like? Mystery could wait. Her mind changed subjects - The thought of spring, that would mean she and Ghost could move the herd back up stream to where Mystery usually kept them. Then the matter of predators popped up, hopefully since they moved south no wolves or cougars had taken her territory

duchess flopped down like a slug next to mystery, dramatic as ever, and began to look up at the sky. she loved the stars, they were like a million dancing horses throughout the night. she quickly dozed off and began snoring before eventually quieting.
