When I first joined, EEE was the highest rating and I was thrilled to have bought my first EEE AA stud a year or so into the game, he was a good little producer and I named him after an Arabian stud I knew irl. I had some of his straws still, up until a few months ago when I let go of them lol

When I was a new account (before my years-long hiatus) there was one lineart pose for all breeds. That outline of horses "galloping" in the breeding center is it (specifically the left-facing one). It was just 2-D art with no muscles, highlights, etc., simply "colored in" with whatever color your horse was. There was no foal art. SPP were everywhere and PPP were hard to come by. E and W were in the far future. I had SH and ISH, and I remember there being just a handful of PPP studs to use...IF you had the cash. There were no free studs of any sort. On the other hand, since there were only 4 ratings, you had a much better chance of getting a decent wild-caught horse. I also think that in the olden days, the success of your stable was measured as much by how well your horses did for you in shows and what your skill in showing was like as it was by what happens in the breeding shed every RO. I don't think there was such an emphasis on color, either. Of course, I assume that was as much a factor of the horse art as it was the player mindset. When every buckskin of every breed looked exactly the same except maybe a sock or a blaze there wasn't much incentive to actively breed for color. Edited at March 3, 2024 04:27 PM by Clear Springs

when i first started SPP's were insanely expensive i was also super obsessed with Harl's colored TB's which i spent dumb money on. Not a lot of the new HEE members know but i did do some modding for a few years. I bred my first EEE and i literally cried lol

I had played a long time ago (loved the Crackin My Back lines) and had a lot of life going on so I didn't get into the game. Came back because I was interested in finding a community to engage with. I'm definitely not proficient with the horses I have in breeding or showing, but it does well and pays the bills. And it lets me give back and promote the HEE Community.
