"Good. That's good." Tempe nodded, relief flooding her features. "No more than you." She muttered, watching her shoes anxiously. She lifted her head in protest, blinking in surprise as he leaned in to kiss her. She closed her eyes and leaned into him to return it gently, her eyes fluttering open as he pulled away. She flushed and offered him a purely happy smile. "Someone needed to take your ego down a notch." She shrugged simply, nodding at him and standing to maker her way over. She clasped his hand eagerly, staring down at her feet in a happy daze.

Zephyr found it almost comical how worried Tempe was. Yes, he was the panic attack champion, but she wasn't supposed to be this anxious! She was supposed to be the confident one that went anywhere and did anything. Thankfully, she calmed down when he kissed her. To be noted, that was NOT his brains choice. Totally his heart acting alllll by itself. "Ha! Next week I'll show you. My ego will inflate back to its proper size soon." He grinned, heading towards the tall structure, where most of the demigods were already standing. Again, Chiron started to explain. All the demigods would go up at once. The crowded chaos was part of the scheme. You were allowed to do practically anything, since you didn't have dangerous weapons. Everyone lined up around the tower. It started up, swinging around with painful looking beams, ladders, and lots of obstacles. First person to get to the top won. Super easy, to say, anyway. Zephyr let go of Tempe's hand and glanced at her. "Good luck to you." He smiled, hearing the bell and starting slowly. Everyone else rushed and started falling quite like rocks. Once you fell you couldn't get back up. After at least half the people were gone Zephyr launched up quickly, scaling the obstacle and swinging around the ropes, easily darting up like he was part monkey. He preferred sword fighting, though.

Tempe rolled her eyes at him. "I'll just have to deflate it again." She joked, squeezing his hand lightly. She listened to Chiron and rolled her shoulders back lightly as Zephyr dropped her hand, stretching for a moment. "Hopefully I won't need it." She shrugged, taking on the wall at a medium pace at first. She kept a good distance away from the others as she tried to get a feel for the course, watching bodies fall all around. And then, the splatter of mud that met her calves as they slapped into the ground.

Zephyr pulled himself up another level, around a sort of sharp ledge, his biceps bulging with the strain of keeping himself from falling off. Still, this is why they trained. He tugged himself to his feet and looked sideways just in time to see Jock barreling at him. Obviously still unhappy from their loss. Zeph jumped out of the way and almost fell of the edge. Always a better idea to move when Jock was running towards you full speed. It was like being charged by a human battering ram. Zephyr then spun around and launched himself up, scaling a rope quickly to get away from Jock, who was grabbing at his feet. Only Jock, Luke, Temperence, Clarisse, Arielle, Butch, Baxter, Hannah, and Greyson were still climbing. A second glance showed Butch letting out a yell as he tumbled down. Zephyr paused for a second, sucking in a breath, and darted to the last obstacle up, to the last platform. His mind focused and his eyes hard, as they usual were when he was ready.

Tempe was nimble as she climbed up, yet still focusing more on her feet hitting true than speed. She looked up to find Zephyr and Jock engaged in... something. She picked up her pace and grabbed onto the ledge with both hands, swinging her lower half up with a graceful flair and landing on her feet. She raced up the rope Zephyr had grabbed, coming up under Jock. Seeing as he was far more brawn than brain, he didn't seem to notice her as she slid to the left, climbing faster to pass him. Her dagger was drawn and through the rope by the time Jock could grab for her, grabbing firmly to her ankle so he didn't fall. She let out a yelp at the sudden 200 pound weight on her right foot, swinging her right foot full force into his face as she hung with her hands. There was a crack- probably his nose- and she tilted her foot to let her high-top fall with Jock's grip. She shook her head and started climbing again as he fell, trying to make up for lost time despite the ringing pain in her foot.

Zephyr leaped nimbly upward and scaled the last platform. He was in reach of the golden helmet that marked the finish line when an arrow shot out of nowhere and sliced across his stomach. If he hadn't heard the whoosh and sidestepped, he would've been a shish kababob on a stick. Blood immediately started trickling out- or, rather, pouring out, his shirt getting stained and soaked rather quickly. Gritting his teeth in pain, he lunged for the helmet, grabbing it and lifting it up to show it was over. A horn sounded, and the event officially ended. He had seen what happened with Tempe out of the corner of his eye, so he wandered over, wincing slightly. "Is your ankle broken? Jock weighs more than a Buffalo." He asked with a faint smile, his hand on his stomach, like he was trying to hold in the blood that was leaking out between his fingers. He glanced around to try and narrow down the culprit- it wasn't a machine that did that. Who was good enough at bow and arrow to hit him all the way up there? With the trajectory of the arrow, they would've had to have been on the ground. From what he could recall, Luke was skilled with a Bow and arrow... but they wouldn't have done that. Zephyr tried to hide the fact that it really HURT- it had cut right through the muscle on his stomach, right through his abs, and now even standing here was painful.

Tempe hissed in pain as she attempted to put her weight on the wrong foot, then proceeded to do her best with one. She glanced up in time to see an arrow whiz past, and then feel a few droplets of warm liquid spray her face. She glanced at Zephyr, and hissed for an entirely different reason when she realized it had hit him. Her pain was forgotten, and she raced upwards, yanking the arrow out of the wood as she passed and swinging up to the top, not a care in her mind that she didn't win. Didn't even make it in second- She was fifth to mount the last ledge. She hobbled to meet Zephyr, eyes lingering on the slash he was failing to conceal. "Not important." She answered bluntly, taking the golden helmet from his hand and dropping it to the wooden floor. For lack of a better word, her furrowed brow meant she was livid. She seethed in silence as she looked at his hands, ignoring the blood spattered on her face for the moment. She glanced back to where the arrow seemed to be fired from, frowning. Of course, there was no one there. "Let's go." She said simply, curling her arm gently around the back of his waist and walking him to the edge of the ledge. There was a crack, and a bolt of lightning traveled from where they were to the bottom of the tower in a millisecond, bringing both of them with it. As if she hadn't just quite literally blown a few people's minds, she walked silently with Zephyr towards the main house, fingers flexing against his hip in a mix of anger and fear. She was hot to the touch, radiating a slightly uncomfortable degree of warmth for the same emotional reason as she led Zephyr up the steps, Chiron meeting them there.

Zephyr rolled his eyes slightly at her blunt words- it was important, to him, but he knew how stubborn she was and he wasn't in the mood to argue his point. He was a little worried though, as she could've been seriously injured. Not in any humorous way. Jock had broken his arm before like it was nothing, so he could only imagine the pain she must've been in. As she stole the helmet, he gave her a slight side glance, wondering why she was so fired up now. "Wait, where are we goi-" His sentence was cut short as bright light flashed around them and he was suddenly on the ground. His eyes wide, he stared at Tempe for a moment. How- oh it didn't matter, he was be amazed later. He twisted his shirt in his hand to keep from showing any outwardly signs of pain, finally figuring out why she was mad. It was rather endearing, if he had guessed correctly. She cares. At least a tiny bit. He thought with a smile, knowing he knew that before, but each tiny gesture felt like another shock of amazingness. He glanced at her a couple times, mostly because he was most likely going to die of the heat radiating off of her, and she was holding him RIGHT next to her burning furnace of a body. He would much rather be sitting in an ice cube than this- he was sensitive to heat, so it was rather uncomfortable. he wouldn't ACTUALLY die, but it kind of sucked, and it wasn't helping his wound- the more his blood warmed up, the faster it flowed out, and the less he kept it in. His arm was red by now, and his shirt was all but ruined. He was also feeling the slightest bit faint, probably from blood loss, but he ignored it.

Chiron essentially took Zephyr from her, assessing them both in a half-glance. C "Stay here." The centaur ordered, shifting into his human- wheelchaired- form. She tightened her grip on Zephyr for a moment before letting Chiron take him inside. "I can't even come inside?" She asked huffily, crossing her arms. C "Not if you stay angry enough to burn anyone who's touching you." He called over a shoulder, shutting the door in her face. She made the equivalent of a toddler's scrunched expression, taking in an offended breath of air. "I am not-" She went to stamp her foot for emphasis, wincing when she remembered why she only had a sock on that foot. She huffed and turned around, walking two steps to slump on the top step of the porch. The flowers in the pot beside her wilted from her heat. She glowered slightly, but took a deep breath and fanned her shirt slightly- she tended to overheat when she was pissed off. Or sad. Or pissed off. Needless to say, she was pissed off alot.

Zephyr cast a slight glare at the centaur. "I do NOT need to be checked out or healed or anything- I can heal on my own." he huffed quietly, but he knew it wasn't true. The only reason he spoke was because he knew Chiron wouldn't listen. Inside, they figured out he not only had the wound, he now had the equivalent of sunburns covering his side and arm where Tempe had been right next to him. Great. After the wound was treated, he was feeling even more dizzy and tired, as he had refused a drug to make him fall asleep during the procedure. All they did was put a healing ointment on it and stitch it up, but apparently stitching wounds up hurt a LOT. Afterwards he walked/staggered out, running a hand through his hair. "You're hot." He couldn't help but joke quietly, hiding the First degree burn on his arm. "If you're worried about me being okay... don't. I'm fine. I just want to know who shot that arrow." He scowled slightly, the same scowl he had met Temperence with on the first day. His dark eyes darted to the spot where the person must've shot the arrow from. Stupid person was going to get found and smacked. Or punched. Or strangled by a skeleton because that'd be funny.
