| @Marjorie Appaloosa takes a combo of genes to show up with spots. The Leopard gene, which gives speckled about the eyes/nose and stripes on the hooves; and the addition of a Pattern gene, which would combine to be a more typical 'Appaloosa look'. Your mare only has the leopard gene, she would need an additional Pattern to show spots |
