I work in HR. Pretty much every company is trying to hire internally/from an already gathered talent pool. We have to post all jobs just as best practice, even when we know who is filling it beforehand.

Half of it is listing's so these companies can say that they're hiring but they're actually not they're just letting one worker have 3 jobs to save money
The job market is actually so bad right now. I applied to every single job pertaining to my field within an hour and a half radius and havenÂ’t heard anything back from any job except three which said they were going a different direction despite being entry level jobs.
