@ ViVi Blossom end rot is from lack of calcium in the soil - add bone meal. Squash potato beetles are repelled by flowering radish (any variety) and you may want to consider a single stand electric fence - can`t do much else about cows! :O
What did you have for temperature during germination? The Solanaceae family like it around 80* So what happened? Not sprout well? Decline after planting?
tomatoes produced a lot but I fought blossom end rot, butterfly catapilars and squash bugs. cows broke the fence and destroyed my potatoes and squash. everything else died, got bugs or blossom, or uprooted itself even tho planted deeep
