My worst interaction for doctors was when I went in to get my knee looked at again (5th time). Instead of just feeling around my knee he went Rather High and tried to play it off as if my inner leg muscles were the issue
Then later on I had to get my allergies tested at the same place, and I got so overstimulated and anxious I literally passed out and got sick. Then she believed that I had anxiety 🙄
And then because I had anxiety and passed out, she didn't want to treat my allergies because 'i was too anxious to let anyone know if I was having a reaction '. I stopped going after that visit.
I was so mad at her comment. I had to sit in the ER because my doctor freaked out because I was having side pain 🙄 Ended up being told I just needed my drain taken out because my skin was trying to heal around it 🤦🏻♀️ like come on just for that?!
I told the nurse if I wanted drugs I wouldn't have sat in an ER for over 6 hours and the way her jaw dropped 😂 like come on I just want to get this taken care of and go home lady
fun! I have to get that done soon as well, and I hate anything in my head/face. She started treating me like I like 4 when I expressed concerns. Like ma'am I'm sorry that my brain freaks out at that, i dont like it either
The worse thing is, whenever those instances happen I am too sick to advocate for myself. If I was in the room and they said stuff like that to my family member, words would be exchanged about getting a different doctor and that I want it charted you refused to provide care.
I had a doctor accuse me of faking being sick because I didn't want a camera stuck up my nose. When in reality I have severe anxiety and sensory issues.
The crappy doctors and nurses make it harder for other doctors and nurses to tell the difference between people who are faking it and those people who are actually having problems
