Your not allowed to tie your dog up ? Like by the doghouse? we do use trees at times, but chain is usually around 5m long and mostly the guard dogs get it during the daytime
They turned into massive jerks and didn't have the dog vaccinated for rabies. Their dog was quarantined for a week. I don't blame the dog though. With the way that family acted, I wonder if they didn't do stuff to the dog.
I had a neighbor who would chain his dog to the front tree. Illegal in most neighborhoods by the way. Told me not to ride anything past his house. I did anyways but was on the sidewalk. They didn't have the dog chained and it bit me. The issue was, I was on the sidewalk a public space. Not their yard.
I have a Golden x Pit who is proved to be quite the monster to train. I spend an hour with each of the younger dogs each day doing various training things, it is taking her awhile to retain things haha

i got a husky, a big , temp from hell type. Shes sweet, but i can tell what pisses her off, so neighbour comes over - doggy doggy... ears back, bombastic sideye, the idiot gets warned listen, she will snap, step back - oh nooo all dogs love me. Now he gots a small hole in his hand, am i at fault ?
Oh yeah. I trained my cats for their nails too. My cat is perfect you don't even have to hold him, but my fiances cat would bite you and hiss. Lol, but I also use a grinder for their nails so it doesn't split them.
Maybe say 'he takes after me'. lol But honestly, quick sharp thing about biting behavior from a previous owner, might work. You are showing you care and are trying to reteach the dog. You not listening aren't helping!
I've been trimming my cat's nails since he was a kitten. He's so tolerant now. And he has ear issues and knows what the bottle of ear cleaner is - and doesn't run (too far)
