best is to have the horses gene tested for PATN - if they are homo for at least one of those they will always give spots. And if they are snowcap or fewspot they will always pass on the Lp (appy) gene. Leopards/near leopards are always just Lplp, so the risk is high of the appy gene not coming through.
KNN is the trickiest breed in here, since it's the only one where not even KNN x KNN guarantees you a KNN. A filly must be at least appaloosa and a colt must be a spotted appaloosa - otherwise it becomes an SH
I enter them on Friday or Saturday. Just depends on what I have going on on Friday and Saturday. But no earlier than Friday. They sometimes sneakily level up between the last time I enter them in regular shows (typically Wednesday) and Friday.
