And having unpopular opinions doesn't help! I wouldn't say I'm loud or strongly opinionated, but I am at least *loyal* to those opinions (which some people interpret as "loud") and I am not one to skirt around to try and make someone else feel better. I lost a good friend over a topic that should never have been an issue. It was too late by the time I realized it had actually bothered her, unfortunately. She asked me to change my worldview, which, well, wasn't happening, as much as it pained me to lose her friendship.
Yeah. Just the money waste thing gets to me. lol And hearing I should have listened about this and that. Which is usually to not try it because I'll end up giving up on it... O.o
When it comes to trying new things, it's a given, that you will mess up. After all, it is 'new'. Accepting that, will give you strength to try again. Nobody's 'perfect' the first time out of the gate.

@snow I have been with my parents for nearly 20 years now. That may be "too long" by some standards, or "not long enough" for others. My older sister has been trying to leave since she was 16 (she succeeded at 21). Some folks just don't make it out until much older and that's okay. I definitely understand getting to the point where you want your *own*... just... everything! I've experienced some freedoms and I definitely get the allure. It's worthwhile.
I've had so many opportunities to make friends. I just rub wrong with pretty much everyone in *some* way (it's always different). At church, and jobs, mutual groups, out and about. I not enough of a "mainstream" person, apparently. *shrug*
LMAO OK. ;P And IF I can find good folks, I'd love to help them. But I've been kinda under my familys' roof too long and feeling the pressure of doing things other then my own.
@snow Hah! I'm sooo the opposite. XD Don't get me wrong, independence and the ability to be self reliant is very valuable. I went through a "Badass cool person" phase and succeeded for the most part. I didn't love living like that though. Now I seek to have others to serve who will support me (hence, marriage!).
