Nova is still shedding her winter coat. I've already gotten enough hair to make two more of her. As soon as my eyes are to the point I can safely drive again, she's going back to get blown out
I used to have a fluffy corgi (RIP Gunner, you were the best) and the blowdryer was the whole reason we started taking him to the self wash spot near us. Blow out all the hair, wash the dog, then hit him with the slicker brush to get anything else out. You could have made a whole second corgi out of the hair he would drop in shedding season
The blowdryer is the best way to get rid of hair. Better than any brush or shampoo in my opinion. My poor babies would be so hot in the summer without it
Just have someone set off an airhorn behind you every time they see you picking - you`ll stop. Or go deaf.
Totally agree with Vecc, Snow. I love dogs, but don`t realistically have time to own one. I get the best of both worlds as a groomer, though! Regular dog fixes, no permanent responsibilities! :D
I love dog wash spots, I have two German shorthairs and I take them because it cuts down so much on the mess. Happy to tip the staff there rather than scrub my whole damn bathroom. The blowdryer is a nice plus too. No wet dog spots all over my couch lol
Tema Bayonet always goes swimming in the cow trough in the summer and we let him because it gets hot. Trigger's actually the last pup of his too lol. Daisy's his mom. I actually take them to a self grooming place because I used to be a groomer and know how to do it. Only $18 apiece which is nothing at all for my babies
OMG Athena! I love Bayonet in a Bucket, and Trigger`s 11 month pic is adorable! I hope you have grooming facilities at your house, though! They`d be a $300 bill from me. That comes with lots of ear pets, though. XD
Tema I used to have acrylics before my nail tech was rude and I had them removed. now I can't get simple gel polish done without paying $45 which was the price of my acrylics. And I have all the stuff I just always pick it off when I do it myself
Snow - look beyond just the appearance. Consider temperament, and what their needs are, as far as exercise/stimulation. It's got to be a good 'fit' for your everyday lifestyle.
@ Athena Yeah, nail salons have gotten expensive. I wear acrylics and have done my own for years. The cost of a full set can cover supplies for a year. I`ll go to a salon for a gel polish (I love Cat`s Eye!) if there`s a special occasion, but my nails are tools most of the time, and I leave them bare - easier to see any lifting!
Ah, OK. Sounds good to have a day off from work and be in the garden instead. :D
Talking about dog, any advice on kinds of dogs? Although I'm not 'in the market' for one, I really liking the Swiss White Shepherd. lol I was looking for a white dog of medium/large size to draw, and feel in love with them. ;P
:) Can be. I have Tue/Wed off from HD, and if I have dogs it`s not always a joy to get started after only a few hours sleep, but this week I`m open. So I slept until 3, made coffee and am slowly gathering ambition for playing in the Gardens.
