I didn't even notice the no background option was removed. Maybe try posting it in bugs? Though I would honestly be glad if my horses could keep backgrounds after they pass away as I hate the depressing beige void they suddenly appear in after death. It's a day where the prices for capturing horses are slightly lower and the ratings of horses captured are slightly higher. I usually only capture during these events. I have 3 big capture quests waiting for months.
