| @lo Yupper. My family had only one dog, he lived to be like 14? Anyway, we adopted him and later found out he was an Aussie and about 6-10 months old at the time. Past prime training, so he ended up being OK-ish. We... had... no... clue! |

| Any dog breed has the capacity to be aggressive and/or the sweetest thing alive. As long as research and proper training is done, I think anyone could get just about anything for a family pet. |

| Grandparents had a chow mix when I was a kid. His name was "Bear". SHort for "Teddy Bear" because he was a damned big ole sweety. |

| Same, Gem. While I do believe biology comes into play, I think training and environment are just as influential to a dog's temperament. |

| As in, I've meet a for Golden Retrievers that were wacky idiots that I wouldn't want around kids, And I've also meet protection type dogs that were lovely and lovable. |
