With goats once they escape they eat everything. Your barn, your fencing, your everything. And shit is expensive to repair / replace right now. The lady who I house sit for who has them spends more on repairing stuff from her goats than she does on her horses in a month. I totally understand why someone would not want them.
What puck said haha. That ladies goats would escape and destroy shit all the time. I found myself charging her a shitload for doing repairs on her crap that they destroyed. And she had a super strong electric fence. They always know where the weak spot is, so I do not blame her one bit.
Goats also are escape artists, eat/chew on everything, are quite loud, and a general menace to be around. Lovely animals. But not easy, even if your mom isn't responsible for them they'll still be another thing to worry about. I don't quite blame her. (I used to work at a petting zoo with goats. I've done my time with them 😂)
If it is her property unfortunately she has that right to make a decision like that. That being said, I would make like, a word document or power point on goats and what they bring to the table positively lol I am unfortunately in the “Hate goats” camp as well. Have had to house sit for a lady who bred them and I would pass away before owning any.

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
